Review Summary

Reviews for Épicerie Costa emphasize generous portions and flavorful Haitian dishes, with the griot and legume repeatedly praised and many customers calling it their go to for Haitian food, noting tender griot and satisfying rice and sides; several posts mention Uber Eats promotions that add free spring rolls, pastries, and sodas, contributing to a strong sense of value. At the same time, some experiences point to inconsistency, including comments about dry rice or a Kraft like mac and cheese, griot dinde that is not as tender, and odd accompaniments, as well as reports of missing promotional items or perceived unprofessionalism. Despite these caveats, the general tone is positive, with many diners highlighting big portions, delicious flavors, and reliable repeat orders, making Épicerie Costa stand out as a favored option for Haitian cuisine in the area.

Very impressed, I ordered on uber eats & got the 2 for 1 deal they also included 2 free sodas, spring rolls & dessert … the food portion is very large & the food is really good I definitely recommend, I'll only be ordering my Haitian food from here now !

BEST haitian food in Montreal by fa

This place is generous with portions, but for me, quality beats quantity. The food didn't feel like Haitian cuisine- the rice was dry & tasted like Chinese fried rice, & the mac & cheese had a processed Kraft flavor. I ordered griot dinde, which was dry & came with tiny pieces of meat. It also came with fried egg rolls (which were actually the best part?) & mayo, which was odd since I've never had griot with such sides. A spoonful of coleslaw in a tiny sauce cup just added to the randomness. Overall, great portions, but the flavors were not present.

Had some Haitian food after many years living out of the city. Now I moved back & tried this place for the 1st time. Omg their griot is so tender & juicy. Legume is amazing, the rice, everything was amazing. Will be ordering again.

My family & I were impressed by the food quality. The dried fish was amazing. Finally an Haitian spot that I say yes to the Fried plantains. The pâté codé was delicious. Truly everything was wow !! Good job!!
