Came for supper with family. Had a great meal, the food was excellent. The ambiance inside was nice & service was friendly without being too intrusive or rushed. Would highly recommend the nachos, fish tacos, quesadillas & the arrachera tacos. As the sign says life is short, eat more tacos!
This restaurant is located in the former Chez Lambert restaurant in the heart of Saint-Lambert. Great service from Antoine as a walk in on a busy Saturday evening. We had the tacos al pastor & the the chicken quesadilla with margaritas.
Very very flavourful with good portions. Tender meat & great seasoning.
Everything was explained greatly by Antoine & we want to underline how great he made the experience.
We will definitely be coming back here again soon!

Si vous recherchez des tacos authentiques aller chez Capital Tacos. El Gordo est loin d'être un bon restaurant. Très déçu des saveurs des tacos. Le consommé est pas mauvais du tout par contre j'ai bien aimé.
Côté atmosphère, vraiment malaisant. Difficile à expliquer mais c'est comme si rentrais chez quelqu'un qui a de la musique dans son salon. Pas du tout le goût de rester là. Le service est correct sans plus.
Pour les prix & bien on s'en sort pas plus… 136$ plus tard pour 6 tacos, une soupe, guacamole & deux drinks. C'est sûr quand t'es pas satisfait ça l'aide pas leur cas….
Je ne vous recommande pas du tout ce restaurant. Un dîner rapide on the go PEUT ÊTRE ben mal pris mais sans plus !
Je vais finir cet avis en vous disant que l'expérience n'est pas du tout la même à celui de Montréal car j'avais été satisfait !
We've eaten at the Mtl El Gordo & always appreciated the good, simple food & excellent cocktails. We were very disappointed by the St-Lambert experience. Our margaritas were not spicy at all, as ordered, & tasted like straight lime juice - no tequila, agave, or dicernable flavour at all. The avocado, tomato & feta salad was mushy & flavourless. The tacos (fish & beef) were soggy & already falling apart when served. The staff were young & it's not their fault they haven't been properly trained. He who appeared to be the Manager was at the bar, shoes off, watching videos on his phone, when his team still needs help & training to ensure consistency in product & service. We're not likely to go back & would not recommend.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tacos, tequila cocktails & salsa on the table. Coleslaw was unfortunately bland yet bitter. Biggest complaint was that the staff.& owner allowed a drunken patron to chainsmoke on the patio with several kids around. Awful end to an otherwise great evening.

Nous avons adoré notre souper au El Gordo St. Lambert! Il faisait longtemps que je voulais un bon endroit de tacos dans le coin & nous avons bien aimé. Les employés étaient sympathiques & efficaces. Excellent endroit pour jeunes familles aussi
Décevant. Nous n'avons pas vraiment été bien reçus. La table qui nous a été assigné était au milieu du passage & comme la porte était ouverte pour le service à la terrasse, c'était un courant d'air. On n'a pas voulu nous assigner un autre endroit. La serveuse était correcte. La nourriture est correcte, mais n'en demandez pas trop. On est loin de la finesse de Tamales, pour ceux qui ont connu. Pareil pour le menu: on parle beaucoup Tacos/Burritos/Enchiladas, mais ce n'est pas très varié. & trop de gras. L'ambiance est bruyante, & probablement voulue ainsi. Donc tout le monde doit parler fort. Cocktail & ambiance comme dans les 5 à 7 j'imagine. Donc les gens se reconnaitront à aimer cela. Pas moi.
Belle ambiance & très bon service ! Je mets seulement 3 étoiles car je trouve que la carte est un peu chère. Minimum 15$ (hors taxes & pourboire) c'est trop cher pour 2 tacos ... D'autres établissements bien connus du centre ville en proposent 3 pour le même prix, voir 1 $ de -. A titre indicatif nous avons payé 66$ pour 2 (2 bières & 2 plats de tacos).
Excellent service au El Gordo de Saint-Lambert. Nous sommes très heureux que les meilleurs tacos de Montréal soient maintenant sur notre belle rive. Le paloma & les tacos portobello: MIAM! 🍹

Belle ambiance, service attentionné. La portion de poulet dans les fajitas au poulet à partager était cependant minuscule, quasi inexistante. Les bols, tacos & churros étaient bons, sans être exceptionnels.
The food was delicious. Loved their tacos! Had an entree of calamari with an orange sauce that was super good. Drank two Jarritos (one strawberry & another mango) The waiters (shoutout to Antoine & Simon) who are super attentive & kind (even the managers who I waved & said hi to!) Overall amazing & chill vibe here! Will come back with friends & even by myself at times! 😊
