Expensive but average food, the worst kobideh kebab in Montreal & the weirdest kebab iChenjeh, but good & excellent service. I will definitely never go again.
I've visited this restaurant twice, & both times the experience was excellent. After a long time, I finally enjoyed truly great Persian food & kebab. The food is delicious, very fresh, & always served hot when it arrives at the table, which really sets this place apart from many other restaurants.
The person serving us was incredibly kind, polite, & friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, I had a great experience here & would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic & high-quality Persian cuisine.
One of the good Persian restaurants in Montreal I like their food the barg kebab & the Kubide kebab were delicious. Also Zeytoon parvarde was tasting amazing. I loved the fact that they served us with a fresh bread & some cheese & herbs & walnuts as welcome. I remember I ordered once by Uber eats from here I ordered Ghorme sabzi with Kubide & chiken kebab. The meat inside the Ghorme sabzi was less than a normal portion, & the chicken kebab seems not to be very well cooked, but it was juicy & well marinated, but just the Kubideh kebab was good. Overall, I like this place but I hope this small mistakes wouldn't happen again because it's a nice place with delicious food.
First time visiting Montreal! Had dinner with my family (7 of us) & we ordered all kinds of kebabs plus 3 stews. The food was amazing-perfect quality & taste, real Persian flavor, just like homemade 😋. Loved the decoration & the service, everything was great. Really wish we had a place like this in Sydney 😊
Diba Restaurant is hands down one of the best spots in Montreal for authentic Persian food. From the moment you sit down, they treat you right: starting with warm, freshly baked bread served with cheese & walnuts. It's such a simple touch, but it really makes you feel at home.
The dishes here are full of flavor & prepared with real care. The rice is perfect, & it comes with tahdeeg: the crispy, golden crust that every Persian food lover dreams of. & the kebabs? Honestly, they're the best I've had in Montreal. Juicy, tender, & grilled just right.
The vibe is cozy & welcoming, & the staff make sure you're well taken care of without being overbearing. If you're craving Persian food or want to try it for the first time, Diba is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I was there for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, & we all had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The environment was lovely, the staff were professional & polite, & the food & appetizers were outstanding.
We started with appetizers - Mast-o-Bademjoon & Zeitoon Parvardeh - both of which I had never tasted this delicious before. The flavors were extraordinary.
For the main course, we ordered the Royal Platter: one skewer of bonab kebab, one skewer of shishlik, & one skewer of joojeh kebab (leg). The taste of all the meats was exceptional. The marinade was amazing, making the meat very soft, juicy, tasty. I will definitely return & recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
We were absolutely blown away by the food & service. We ordered the Kebab Torsh & Chenjeh, & both dishes were nothing short of spectacular, beautifully seasoned, grilled to perfection, & bursting with authentic Persian flavors.
The rice & tahdig were also exceptional!
While I would have loved for a side salad to be included with the meal, that's just a small suggestion for an otherwise outstanding experience.
The staff were friendly, & the service was impressively fast, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend Diba for anyone craving top-quality Persian cuisine. Can't wait to come back!
We've been to many Persian restaurants in Toronto, & on a previous trip to Montreal, we weren't too impressed by the Persian food scene. But Diba is in a different league. We had some of the best Persian dishes we've ever tried.
The staff were professional, friendly, & always ready to help. One of them even went out of her way to charge one of our phones in the staff room. That kind of service really stood out.
The atmosphere was warm & inviting, & the food was fantastic. We ordered Platter #1, which came with a mix of Persian kebabs & a Gheimeh stew. Everything was delicious, especially the tah-dig-the crispy saffron rice-which was absolutely perfect.
We had such a great experience that we recommended Diba to all our friends in Montreal. We'll definitely be back next time we visit!
The torsh kebab was basically pomegranate molasses you could buy from supermarket; the food was so expensive & the waitress was grumpy, made mistakes with bills & blamed it on us; the mistake doesn't matter but she could be more helpful & didn't help separating bills.
Diba Restaurant, with its high ceilings, warm interior decor, & use of neutral tones, creates an incredibly calm & inviting atmosphere for its guests. The young & well-trained staff move gracefully between tables like a synchronized dance team. Their attentiveness is almost mind-reading, as they approach your table before you even signal for them.
Dear Mehrsa is an exceptional host, extremely nice, very friendly, respectful, polite, & hardworking. She ensured that every aspect of our dining experience met our expectations with enthusiasm & care. For quite some time now, she has happened to be our host by chance, & each time, she has provided us with the best service with great care & grace.
Our host tonight was Dear Ghazal, who was exceptionally so nice, courteous, & resourceful. When we ordered the Chenjeh kebab & were informed it was unavailable, she quickly coordinated with the kitchen upon noticing our excitement & managed to fulfill our request.
Before diving into the details of the food, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dear Ghazal for her wonderful hospitality this evening.
I'll include the receipt so you can see the exact prices as of today. Please note that the Chenjeh kebab was served with rice, while the other kebabs were served without.
• Bonab Kebab: Exceptionally tender & flavorful. I can confidently say it's one of the most delicious kebabs you'll find in Montreal.
• Chenjeh Kebab: The flavor was delightful.
• Shishlik Kebab: It was unbelievably tender a so really delicious.
• Koobideh Kebab: Compared to Bonab kebab, I'd definitely choose Bonab. But I have to say, Diba's koobideh kebab has a really enjoyable flavor on its own.
One standout feature of Diba Restaurant is their in-house bread baking. This sets the restaurant apart, giving it a unique charm. A touch of melted butter is added to their fresh taftoon bread, making it taste like a slice of heaven.
Overall, I would recommend it specifically for Bonab kebab.
Bon appétit!
