Tonight we dined at Di Mena Restaurant as a group of four adults. From the very beginning, the experience was disappointing.

When the waiter came to take our drink order, one of the gentlemen asked for a beer & was told they had no beer available due to the Christmas parties. Not only is this unheard of for a high-end restaurant, but there was no apology whatsoever-& this lack of courtesy continued throughout the entire evening.

We ordered our food, which was acceptable but not at all up to the standard I remember Di Mena being known for. The quality was simply not what it once was.

I later asked to speak with the manager, who turned out to be the same waiter. I explained that we had made a reservation & had driven all the way from Laval, expecting a full dining experience-including drinks to accompany our meal. Once again, there was no apology, only the excuse that his order had not been delivered-during one of the busiest times of the year, which is hard to understand.

What was most disappointing is that nothing was offered to compensate for the inconvenience-not even a coffee or dessert.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed. This experience fell far below expectations, & I will be waiting a long time before considering a return. As a manager, he should be ashamed of his behavior & lack of

Easily one of the best & most genuine Italian restaurants in Montreal. They have a wide range of menu selection & you can rest assured that you will be satisfied regardless of what you decide to eat - the quality is excellent across the board, however I would recommend the veal chop among others.

The service was very friendly & efficient. The atmosphere was cozy & true to its culture.

I often order pizza for takeout as well, although the all-dressed or rapini & sausage are far greater than other options (I am personally not a fan of the all-cheese pizza here).
