It's obvious this place is capable of turning out good food - we saw some wonderful looking sausages grilling out front with some other food people seemed to be enjoying. Turns out it was for a special event celebrating five years in business & you had to pre-buy a ticket. The special event also meant a DJ, & we were stuck next to him. It was loud enough we couldn't have a conversation & just wanted to get out of dodge by the end. As for the food, the mushroom tagine was too sweet, & who puts fried halloumi with a low-flavor fatty sauce? The harissa/lemon aioli with the falafel had no discernible spice or color, while the beans with the octopus were flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were kinda blah. It felt like they were trying for upscale with "delicate" flavors & a ton of fat, but we left feeling bloated & disappointed. & watching others eat better food made us feel like second-class citizens. On the bright side, the drinks were well done, & our waiter was friendly & helpful (he told us to order bread, which was the one food I really enjoyed). It looks like customers should stick to brunch here - the menu looks much more basic.
I feel bad writing this because the place is very cute & our server was very nice. But, we went in for brunch with a group of 9, it was moderately busy but not full. We waited over an hour for our food, which finally came out over the course of 5 minutes, & most of the hot dishes were "warm" at best. My partner & I had the shakshuka, which I was really surprised to have no flavor at all (they thought the same), which was weird because I've loved pretty much every other shakshuka I've ever had. It was also an incredibly small portion, & for some reason was a higher price than most other things on the menu. We were not able to leave until almost 2 full hours after we sat down. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt & say perhaps they are not used to larger group sizes? We had made a reservation, so it wasn't a surprise to accommodate us. Overall I was just very sad to wait for so long & be so disappointed with lukewarm food that lacked flavor, especially when all of the other reviews are so positive.
It is a small family owned restaurant. Owner came to the table to speak & give his recommendations . He even got us extra dip- which were not on the menu for the bread! Food was delicious. It is small plates & we shared as family. Drinks were excellent.
Perfect spot for brunch! The food was delicious, but it was the atmosphere that really was my favorite part. We got the shakshuka & the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was delicious but a little rich when eating the whole thing. Overall, very wonderful experience!
We tried the French toast, poutine, & msemen bread with honey, & every dish was outstanding. The French toast was my favorite-it was perfectly sweet with well-soaked bread, & the addition of hazelnuts & figs made it wonderfully exotic. The msemen bread with caramelized honey was simple yet incredibly delicious. The poutine was also exquisite. The service was exceptional; we were served with great passion & care. Though we're from the US, we will definitely return!
The food, service & atmosphere were all a 10/10. It's such a cute setting, nice little vibe & music. The waiter was extremely friendly & helpful. & the food was just sooo good. Particularly enjoyed the mushroom tajine, the bread & the grilled halloumi. Oh also the carrot cake was cray. Would 100% go back!
I found this place on Eater & decided that this would be the place to eat at during a small 2 night stay in Montréal. I was not disappointed! Moroccan cuisine, dishes with thought out flavors & textures. Our dinner was fantastic. Ordered the: Flatbread, Grilled Halloumi, Beet Salad, Chicken Tagine, & Grilled Octopus I thought the halloumi, chicken tagine, & grilled octopus were really good. I wish the pieces of chicken in the tagine were a bit bigger, I'd say. The flavor & texture was great. Crunch, salt, sweet, savory... all in the chicken tagine. All the dishes were fantastic, I would recommend!

Excellent resto de quartier. Bouffe savoureuse & différenciée. Belle ambiance, bonne musique. Service amical. À visiter plus d'une fois. Ça vaut le déplacement.
Everything about this place was great! The service was so friendly & attentive, the food was delicious, loved the zesty labneh & the coffee. Would definitely go back!
