Was eagerly looking forward to this meal but came away underwhelmed. Did the tasting menu so got to sample most (if not all) menu items. Very hit or miss. We loved the appetizers (haloumi & bread with beet tahini dip & spinach hummus dip). But it is hard to go wrong with fried cheese with honey. Cocktails also a highlight. But then each course after that seemed to go downhill. Falafel was the table favorite but they didn't even provide enough for each person ordering the tasting menu to have their own falafel. We had to cut them up & share so we could each have a taste. The celeriac entry was visually stunning & had great textures but lacked flavor. Brussels sprouts were good, but veal sausage & the tajines (both chicken & sardines) were lackluster in our opinion. & dessert was a disappointment. Has potential to be great. Just felt like many of the menu items needed a bit more tweaking.

& service attentif. Belle ambiance!

Quality of Ingredients was great. The food was not bad, just the recipes were mediocre. I had the falafel bowl. Falafel was a round chickpea fritter, it was not a proper falafel, the bowl had puffed amaranth in it mixed with the dressing, I think it was an attempt to make it different than a traditional bowl with Quinoa or Barley or other grains, but that didn't go well. On top of my greens & falafel, there were two poached eggs. So my green leafy salad was dripping with egg yolks. Why? Just why? Hard boiled eggs go better. My friend ordered Shakshouka & it looked alright & tasted alright. It is a cutesy place, it is good food for someone who doesn't know what real Mediterranean recipes on the menu taste like & someone who can't cook.

We had a picnic box & falafel balls for twelve people on the weekend & everyone raved about the flavours. The spices & herbs in the small dishes (eggplant zaalouk, red pepper muhammarah) are out of this world good. Best falafel ever. Highly recommend Darna, everyone asked where I had ordered our wonderful lunch.

Was very excited to try this new place but got disappointed. The plates are rather small & it came out kinda pricey. Taste was okay- favorite were the octopus entrée & the sauce they used for the falafel. The chicken tajine was bland & not fall-of the bone like I would imagine. Service was just okay & rather slow. We waited at least 20-30min before getting our second wave of dishes. Usually, waiters do let you know when it's a bit slow but we never got an update & just waited. Wanted to love this spot, but unfortunately it was not it. Still a cute place for a date.

It's obvious this place is capable of turning out good food - we saw some wonderful looking sausages grilling out front with some other food people seemed to be enjoying. Turns out it was for a special event celebrating five years in business & you had to pre-buy a ticket. The special event also meant a DJ, & we were stuck next to him. It was loud enough we couldn't have a conversation & just wanted to get out of dodge by the end. As for the food, the mushroom tagine was too sweet, & who puts fried halloumi with a low-flavor fatty sauce? The harissa/lemon aioli with the falafel had no discernible spice or color, while the beans with the octopus were flavorless. The Brussels sprouts were kinda blah. It felt like they were trying for upscale with "delicate" flavors & a ton of fat, but we left feeling bloated & disappointed. & watching others eat better food made us feel like second-class citizens. On the bright side, the drinks were well done, & our waiter was friendly & helpful (he told us to order bread, which was the one food I really enjoyed). It looks like customers should stick to brunch here - the menu looks much more basic.

Le menu découverte m'a fait voyager! C'est rafraîchissant, y'a pas juste du couscous & des falafels

Excellent service & incredible flavors. We each had the discovery menu which provided a fun array of dishes. Everything was very good, especially the falafel, roasted eggplant, chicken tagine, grilled halloumi & rghaeif flat bread. The servers were extremely attentive & kind. Darna also has a selection of interesting non-alcoholic mocktails — including a great non-alcoholic margarita. Much appreciated!
