I was walking with my daughter & we were looking for something sweet. We were tired of ice cream & we came across this place. It's so beautiful & cozy & the crepes & cappuccino were amazing. The staff is so friendly & quick with the orders.
Service was shockingly slow & with no care at all. We were VERY surprised & sorry about this (it happened in 2023, during the Formula 1 weekend). We still wonder what had happened or if it's common occurrence.
We attended here as a spontaneous lunch decision. The food was good but service was disappointing. Although not rude by any means, it was definitely the most unwelcoming restaurant/shop we attended during our visit to Old Montreal.
Great crepe, but good luck with the staff, they are all busy on their cell phones.
We were taking a walk through the Old Port of Montreal & decided to stop at Crêperie St-Paul on a whim. It was early evening & the place wasn't very busy, which worked in our favor since we were able to place our order right away without waiting in line. The staff greeted us warmly & were pleasant throughout, creating a relaxed & unhurried atmosphere that fit the mood of an evening stroll in the Old Port.
When it came to the food, the crêpe itself was enjoyable-prepared well & presented simply. It wasn't something that blew us away, but it did the job & left us satisfied in the moment. What stood out more than the taste was the pricing. Given the fact that this spot sits right in the middle of one of the most touristic parts of Montreal, I was honestly expecting to pay more. Instead, the price was reasonable & felt fair for the location, which isn't always the case in the Old Port.
That being said, while the visit was pleasant & without any issues, it didn't quite stand out enough to make me want to return. It checked the boxes for a casual stop, but the overall experience didn't leave much of an impression. For us, it was fine to try once while exploring the area, but not the kind of place I'd feel the need to revisit. Sometimes once is enough, & that's exactly how I'd describe this experience.
Both employees could barely speak French or English. Bacon & chicken crepe was actually chicken & smoked meat. Salad without dressing was served with dressing. Food was bland & tasteless. Decor was nice.
I loved it, out of the five lunches/dinners I had in Montreal, i came here three times.
Once a Crêpe com mushrooms & salad & twice Poutine with mushrooms which was difficult ti find in other places. The poutine came with a lot of cheese & mushrooms what made me return again. I asked them to please make it with lots of cheese & mushrooms. Not sure if this was why or if it always comes Like this however I loved it!
Stopped by for breakfast. It was early 9:30, only one other table seated & had been served food.
Waiter took fives minutes to come see me, placed order.
Coffee & food served, I finished my meal & cofffee, sat there for 20 mins. No other customers had arrived. Waiter appeared to be quite busy with his cell phone.
He never checked if food was good, if I needed anything.
Horrible service would not return / suggest.
Really great location on the second floor. We had the fruit festival & strawberry crepes. Both went down really well & there was nothing left on anyone's plates.
Service was fast but there were no follow-ups.
Would recommend checking it out.

The crepes were darn good, we got one strawberry nutella & one mango crème, they were really yummy but left me wanting just a little bit more…something. The service was magnificent & it was such a quick process. Great place for a late sweet snack.
Everyone agreed the crepes were subpar. My cheeseburger was ok but it came with nothing. Tips were computed over taxes. This is now illegal in Quebec. (Tips should be calc excluding taxes).
Hidden gem! Does not get better than this place!
Tranquility & flavor! Will definitely be coming back someday!
Great food. Nice waiter. Calm & enjoyable atmosphere. Good prices. Very recommended!
