Côte St Luc Bar-B-Q draws consistent praise for charcoal grilled rotisserie chicken that stays juicy and tender with crisp skin, served in generous portions and offered at a very reasonable price, with standout sides like fries that strike a balance between soft and crispy and a memorable popcorn-style poutine and a tangy, well-regarded coleslaw. The place comes across as clean and casual, with a straightforward, unfussy decor and fast, attentive service that feels warm and welcoming. While most feedback centers on reliable quality and comfort-food satisfaction, a few reviewers note bland sauces or soups and, in one visit, a dry poutine or plain baked potato needing extra charges for butter or sour cream, suggesting room for small improvements or renovations and noting limited wheelchair access. Taken together, the restaurant is viewed as a dependable option for takeout or dine-in, delivering solid, flavorful chicken with consistent value and a community-friendly vibe that makes it a go-to for events and everyday meals.
We ate in the restaurant tonight instead of take out.
Great idea
We chose from the 2 meals for 30$ special.
My wife ordered the chicken breast meal & I had the chicken poutine
The meals were served with a soft drink or coffee & had the choice of soup or coleslaw.
We both had the soup . Wow !!It was great , full of meat , celery & carrots. It was tasty, hot & delicious. A meal in itself.
The poutine was great , incredible amount of chicken breast & cheese. The chicken breast meal was good, meat was not dry at all & flavour full
Service was polite & friendly.
Great value !
Been going to this location for many years, been also ordering from work many times. Excellent service. Had a phone order issue, called up Hallie Who is super awesome & took care of me.

Need more locations of this place.
Long time ago they used to have 6 locations i know times are tough but as an amazing establishment for over 70 years I'm sure any new location will succeed. Say hi to Frank. F for me. I know him very long time.
Excellent poulet cuit au charbon. Frites fraîches & maison. Salade de choux & sauces BBQ délicieuses. Service impeccable. La qualité est très supérieure aux chaînes de rôtisseries comme St-Hubert, Scooters & Benny.

Folks, look no further! When I want me some serious barbecue chicken, broiled five minutes before I pop it in my mouth, tender, juicy, crispy skin, satisfying, promoting a sense of emotional security & great memories of childhood, I zip over to pick up some Côte St-Luc BBQ! My family & I have been eating here (take-out, delivery) for more years than I can remember. I have NEVER been disappointed! I have graduated from gravy to hot sauce, but I still can't resist the French fries, cooked to perfection! I find the prices super reasonable, considering that eating at a fancy restaurant now requires taking out a second mortgage, so do not begrudge the owners the reasonable price increases that inflation has caused. Even when I go there alone to pick up something just for me, I have to add an extra entire chicken or more because my kids & grandkids will steal the food from under my nose, the aroma is so mouth-watering! Also: service is friendly & prompt, & great in French & English.
CSL BBQ or Chalet BBQ? Both great Montreal institutions. The unfortunate fire wiped out the old world charm but make no mistake, the quality at CSL is just the same. The wings & filets give CSL the edge. Don't miss the hearty soup.
Just had a regular poutine here & it satisfied the craving but it was nothing too special! Prices are a little more the expensive side compared to a few other places I've tried

To start off, Great food, the chicken was so flavorful & juicy, the onion rings were just YUM, the service was great, & it was so nice to have the owner take the time to come greet us at our table, Love, Love, Love, my colleague/friend Sean who is the cousin of one of the owners of the spot invited me to eat at this neighborhood gem 💎 & I will definitely be back.
Been going here for decades. Food is delicious but a bit less consistent than the West Island location but better nonetheless. Service is friendly & efficient. Chicken Caesar salad id awesome. Prices aren't cheap but good value compared to the competition. Desserts are too expensive. A family run business that is highly recommended.

Became expensive. Update: Okay you have a point. I do like the food. My critique was not about the chicken but about the price. I used to take out from you quite often but cannot anymore. Yes costs have gone up but not my salary. I'll repeat, there is nothing wrong with the chicken. Thanks for your feedback.
Ordered some chicken wings , a salade there , as seen on pictures . I dont like giving people bad notes . Guess I shouldve go for the chicken on charcoal or something. Lessons are hard learned ! Good presentation tho everything was clean when received . The fries needs work guys
From out of town. This place was recommended & I can see why. The service was top notch, the food was melting in my mouth it was so good. Best chicken salad I've ever had. Hot fresh chicken & not cold & made in the morning. Huge portions! Our server was fantastic. While it's a small place it's definitely worth it. This is now on my Montreal rotation.
