Arrived at 6:17 PM on a Saturday well within the posted hours of 11 AM-8 PM only to be told the restaurant was closed. When I pointed out that their Google listing says 8 PM, the staff said they never stayed that late, then begrudgingly asked what I wanted to order, as if doing me a favour. Please update your actual closing time on Google so customers aren't misled into a wasted trip.

I tried their food a few times & it's honestly an average, not a bad quality for a food court sushi bar in a mall. Whatever you order you're mostly paying for the vegetables & imitation crab, there isn't much'fish' involved compared to price unless you order the party pack. The presentation & taste itself is, nonetheless, not bad.
However, Last weekend probably a trainee made my plate, she kept talking over my sushi pieces, while holding them in her hand very close to her mouth, without wearing any mouth guard or anything, asking for feedback from her colleagues, for a good while. Plus, she was using electronic devices with the same hand (gloves) that she was using to make my sushi. Later I realized that the entire store was just wearing the same gloves to do everything not just her.
1. I don't expect Japan quality sushi in Quebec but sushi's aren't supposed to be held in your hand for that long because the warmth of your hand ruins the freshness of the fish. I understand that she was learning but you don't serve your customers an'experiment'. that training needs to be done off work hours & consumed by staff if you don't want it to go to waste.
2. Because of the'training' my plate took almost 30 minutes even though they started working on my order right away. They weren't busy at all. looking at me to see if I'm pissed would not solve the problem maybe you should have just told me that a new employee is working on my menu so it might take a little bit longer & excuse yourself. I would have happily waited.
3. I would have TRIED to understand if your restaurant only served something'cooked'. However you serve raw fish in your restaurant. How can you touch the ipad(whatever device you receive orders from), trays, doors, etc basically things that are unsanitary & raw fish/rice at the same time? I was shocked to find out there was no'dedicated' gloves for raw food, maybe there is a protocol but from what I have observed, non of the employees followed it.

Mon accueil n'a pas bien commencé, mais par la suite, j'ai été ravi du service offert par le jeune homme à la caisse, accueillant & charmant.
Lorsque j'ai pris le menu, j'ai été désappointé de sa taille. Il n'y a pas grand chose & les prix sont élevés, mais on peut tout de même trouver quelque chose adapté pour les goûts de tous.
Lorsque j'ai reçu mon plateau, j'ai été ébloui par la présentation. Le prix est donc bon pour la nourriture offerte. Les protéines sont grosses, le riz est bien assaisonné & tous les éléments avaient beaucoup de saveurs. Par contre, il manquait un peu de tonus pour certains sushis.
Peut-être reformer la dame à la caisse pourrait améliorer le service. En outre, mon expérience était super & je reviendrai sans hésiter.
Délicieux, de bonnes portions, j'ai fais une très belle découverte. 🍣
Ajout : ils sont toujours très attentifs avec les commandes. Je rajouterais peut-être de permettre dans UberEats de rajouter des instructions lorsqu'on sélectionne les divers articles, sinon quand on a une instructions particulière on est obligé d'appeler. Merci !☺?
Je suis venu 5-6 fois déjà, la nourriture à toujours une fraîcheur incroyable. Je suis un grand amateur de nourriture japonaise & très sincèrement je pense que comptoir shoji a un des meilleurs restaurant avec un service rapide de la rive sud. Je conseille à mes amis proches car j'ai beaucoup aimé. Une grande variété dans le menu pour satisfaire beaucoup de personnes. Très bonne expérience

Sans farce une heure pour commander un petit plateau de 11 sushi & un frite japonais. C'est très bon & frais mais j'ai attendu 1 h. Si on m'avait dit il y a une heure d'attente jamais je ne serais demeuré sur le banc à attendre. Même pas un on est désolé pour l'attente. J'avais le goût de dire aux gens préparez vous ça va être long avant d'avoir de quoi à manger. C'est désolant. Prochaine fois le pourboire de 15% ça va être à la fin !
Top-tier Japanese restaurant. I would say it surpasses a lot of the restaurants I've been to in Tokyo. The food was fantastic, the gentleman who was working was very friendly, & the atmosphere was very nice overall.
Had an amazing experience at Comptoir Shoji! My wife & I really enjoyed the sushi. You can tell it's made with care-everything was incredibly fresh & absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot, we'll definitely be back!
