Reviews describe Chimaek Gana as a go-to spot for Korean fried chicken in Montreal, offering crispy, flavorful chicken in a variety of styles such as Yangnyeom and Supreme, with generous portions that pair well with sides, pickled radish, and a cold beer. The service is frequently praised for being friendly, fast, and attentive, and the atmosphere is noted as lively and welcoming, with convenient touches like gloves for eating and clean, comfortable seating. While some readers mention menu updates and price changes, the overall consensus remains that the food is delicious and consistently satisfying, making it a popular choice for groups and special occasions.
I love the decor & they also let you write on their brick walls with some chalk as a little activity. The chicken was juicy & delicious. It costed about 25$ but one serving was enough for two people.

Fried chicken was good but the rest was just okay. Service is good though. If you look for a place, which opens late, to have fried chicken, it could be one.
Chimaek Gana offers an incredible dining experience that combines excellent ambiance, delicious food, & impeccable service. Upon entering, you're greeted with a welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The food, while repetitive in a good way due to generous portions, ensures you'll leave fully satisfied. The standout dish, the beef sashimi, is undoubtedly a must-try, showcasing the freshness & quality of ingredients. Each bite is a burst of flavor, making it a highlight of the meal. Additionally, the salad complements the main dishes perfectly, offering a refreshing contrast. Service at Chimaek Gana is nothing short of exceptional. The staff's attention to detail & friendly demeanor enhance the overall dining experience, ensuring guests feel well taken care of throughout their visit. Overall, Chimaek Gana is a hidden gem worth discovering. With its delightful ambiance, delectable food, & top-notch service, it's a place where patrons can enjoy a truly memorable dining experience.
A great find in Montreal's downtown area. The portions are enormous for the price. The Ttoekbokki was delicious & spicy. The fried chicken was amazing, both dishes were well seasoned, the skin was crispy while the meat was still quite juicy. The ambiance was vibrant & well decorated with names on the wall.
Love this place! The fried chicken is so good. I highly recommend for you to try the cajun cream. Wouldn't order a lot if it's a first time the portions are so big!
I was impressed by the generous portion size. The crispy coating was perfect, & the overall vibe of the place added to a delightful dining experience. Definitely recommend
I've been to this restaurant quite a few times & adoreee the service provided as well as the food -- the chicken is absolutely delicious & would recommend coming here with friends, family or even birthday parties. The staff are always friendly & their service is amazing! This is one of the Gana locations, about a 30 seconds to 1 minutes walk from guy-concordia metro, st-mathieu exit!
The chicken was very filling for an amazing price. The shop was a bit hard to notice, which guarantees more privacy. The staff was very nice & providing.
Tebokki for take out, it takes us 5 minutes in microwave to heat it up. Everything is cold even we put the soup inside, the noodle & fish cake is not ready to eat right away. No clear instructions given when we got food on hand. Restaurant should instruct customers otherwise it's unbelievable to receive food like this. P/s: waiting time 25-30 minutes, i came inside & ask for orders , staff should pay attention to customers more.
