Chicken is tender yet charcoaled. Staff is adorable. Always good house wine. The vibe is lit what else do you want to go to Portugal? Fine go but I'll go the Chez Doval instead xoxoox

We were two & went for lunch, everything was good, the restaurant felt authentic with a good selection of plates. The waiters were nice & the prices were good. I really appreciated the little European restaurant vibe which is refreshing. I cannot remember the name of the dish I tried, but I will visit again soon because it was delicious & I'm curious about other meal that seemed interesting.
One of my favourite local restaurants. Friendly & welcoming, with wonderful food. Having tried most of the menu, like a homing pigeon, I keep going back to carne de porco à alentejana. OMG!
I have been going to chez Doval since the 1990's. & I introduced my family & they loved it.
Problem has arisen in the past year. One of the owners is very charming & welcome & hospitable, The other one has made myself & my family feel unwelcome.
The three last times we came this summer 2025, each occasion , had a negative experience , completely due to the owner Carlos, Making snide remarks & making a bad joke about his partner being dead when I asked, his partner was not dead but off on that day.
Too bad.I like the place food is decent.It's not a pretentious place but due to the owner , I will never step food in that restaurant again
Great little restaurant with all the Portuguese food you would like to have. I had fantastic lamb chops. Service was very friendly. Nice wine suggestion (from Portugal). With a free Porto shot at the end, what more can you ask for?

Les plats sont vraiment délicieux, surtout l'assiette de moules & fruits de mer. Les portions sont généreux & le service est très rapide, malgré que le restaurant est à 3/4 pleins. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'ambiance avec le guitariste qui chantait des chansons populaires portugaises & autres.
Ambiance extrêmement chaleureuse par tout l'équipe. Nous avons bien été dans notre choix de vin & il n'y a pas eu un long temps d'attente pour recevoir notre repas. Vous pouvez aussi réserver un table en appelant. Nous recommandons!
