Review for Casa Greque - Lasalle (Newman Location)

This isn't my first time dining at Casa Greque in Lasalle on Newman, & once again, it did not disappoint. The place is always busy, which speaks volumes about its popularity & consistent quality.

What truly stands out is the exceptional team led by the owner, Spiro. After observing their professionalism, calm demeanor, & courteous service, even during peak hours, I have to say, this is a dream team any restaurant would be lucky to have.

From the warm welcome at the front host stand, to the attentiveness of the waiters & waitresses, all the way to the cooks in the kitchen working tirelessly behind the scenes, the dedication of the entire staff is truly admirable.

Despite the rush, they manage to greet every guest warmly, serve dishes in an impressively short time, & maintain top-notch service throughout. The food, as always, is excellent.

Highly recommend Casa Greque for anyone looking for great food, quick service, & a team that truly cares.

Love the food. Even though the restaurant was packed & the server was super busy, we still got amazing service from a courtesy friend waiter. I highly recommend this restaurant 👌

Service... Waiter was rude & argumentative.. He clearly did not want to be there.. . I think I heard his name was Rudy. He had a table full of people that worked in customer service & sadly it made the almost cold food worst with his cold customer service skills... Restaurant was clean & it was busy... But not busy enough to be as unpleasant as he was. I hadnt been in many years to that particular one... & I'm OK not going back.

Sonia, our waitress, provided outstanding service during my daughter's birthday dinner, for a party of 10. We were all pleased with her patience & friendliness. She consistently checked on each of us to ensure we were enjoying our food. I happily give her a 5-star rating for her amazing customer service skills. The guests at our table couldn't stop praising her, & saying how amazing she is & how much patience she has. This was the best service ever, especially with the fact that it was a really busy Sunday.

I honestly like this family resto but this time it was so disappointing I don't know when we will ever go back. I know they are very busy but we were seated at the very last table next to the kitchen..unbelieveably loud noise from crashing plates, yelling orders, we couldn't hear ourselves talk. The most upsetting is that we could see ALL staff working in kitchen were not wearing any hair nets. I saw at least one waiter putting a big shrimp onto a skewer for a drink, using bare hands. When I pointed this out to our waiter he said it was odd in light of the fact there had been an inspection just a couple days before. The owners/managers were there & should have had more sanitary control. For the price, I think we will find another place with stricter food standards, esp. before covid or other health bugs start resurfacing in the Fall. Sorry Casa Grecque.
