In a uniques way I liked this coffe shop in Montreal. The table to be served is given at the order cash counter manually by a stand having the number. So the food server knows where you are. The atmosphere looked pretty serene. Ladies & customers having their sip of coffee by the window, reading a book (yes book) or the modern addictive trend of internet on their 📲

Bonne ambiance avec des grandes tables à l'arrière pour étudier. Mais les portions étaient un peu petites - j'ai pris le Sandwich Montréal & je le trouvais petit pour 12,5$... L'assiette brunch non-vege était bonne mais aussi 18,5$ assez cher pour ce que c'était. Mais le personnel était très sympathique & le café très bon.

Excellent café par contre le grilled cheese a besoin d'amour. J'ai eu beaucoup de mal à goûter le fromage, encore moins le voir. Critique constructive.

Staff absolument adorable & toujours très agréable. Bon petit café de quartier pour se poser avec un livre, du travail ou un.e ami.e. Un peu cher (mais comme la plupars des cafés au moment où ce commentaire est publié)

I recently visited Canard Café in Montreal with my partner for lunch, & we had a decent experience. My partner ordered the ham sandwich on a baguette, & I opted for the goat cheese salad. While the food was good, it didn't stand out as anything exceptional. I also ordered a cortado, which was enjoyable, but I did notice a few issues in the coffee preparation process. It was disappointing to see that they didn't use a scale to ensure precise espresso dosing. Additionally, the barista's steaming technique seemed improper & caused the milk to "scream," which can be detrimental to the machine. Furthermore, the barista's lack of constant hand contact with the pitcher for temperature judgment was a letdown. Lastly, the espresso was tamped using improper technique, lacking the even bed leveling before tamping & a 90° angle tamp. In summary, Canard Café provided a decent meal, but the coffee preparation could use some improvements for a more refined experience.

Food was disappointing. If the portion isn't minuscule, the quality is barebones & flat. Cant win. Coffee was _okay_ & the portions generous. Don't order sandwiches. Soup is fine but slightly bland.

Stopped in for coffee & breakfast with my girlfriend while we were visiting in Montreal. The food is delicious, especially the duck sausage. The coffee was tasty & the service was incredible, very very friendly staff that helped us to understand the menu. We loved our experience here!
