Review Summary

Cafeterra is widely praised as a cozy and inviting destination in Old Montreal, celebrated for its stylish decor, warm atmosphere, and high-quality brunch offerings. Visitors frequently highlight the freshness and beautiful presentation of dishes like the Norwegian breakfast, Shakshuka, and various avocado toasts, often pairing them with expertly crafted coffee and homemade lemonade. While most guests appreciate the friendly, efficient service and the thoughtful no-laptop policy that preserves a relaxed dining environment, a few patrons have noted inconsistencies in wait times and expressed mixed feelings regarding the requirement to pay before receiving their meals. Overall, it is highly recommended as a charming, family-owned gem that delivers a genuine and flavorful experience for those looking to enjoy a casual yet elevated meal.

I recently discovered an incredible café in the Old Port, & it was truly an aesthetic experience. Honestly, it's so hard to find places like this in Montreal nowadays - every detail is thoughtfully designed, from the color palette to the smallest elements of the decor. Everything feels harmonious, stylish, & full of character.
The food (breakfast) was absolutely amazing: fresh, flavorful, & clearly made with care & quality ingredients. I also want to highlight the staff - they were incredibly kind, polite, & attentive, making the whole experience even more special.
The atmosphere is calm & relaxing, with soft jazz playing in the background, no rush, just a perfect place to unwind & enjoy the moment. It's definitely a spot I'll be coming back to again & again 🤍

Stumbled into the most incredible Ukrainian breakfast spot in Old Montreal completely by accident & what luck that was. The food was absolutely outstanding: authentic, beautifully presented, & full of flavor. Every detail, from quality to appearance, was perfect. Even more impressive was the warm & attentive service something that feels rare to find in Canada. Traveling from Miami, I did not expect to discover one of the best foods here in our trip to Montreal. A true hidden gem.

I like to support Ukrainian owned businesses & this one was conveniently located near Notre Dame.
In terms of food & coffee, it was pretty average & didn't match the many other great breakfast spots in Montreal, so I wouldn't return.
I had the vegetarian avocado toast, & felt the bread was a bit soggy - a crustier sourdough would help. The espresso macchiato was very dark roasted & also not my favorite.

Awesome little cafe! Cafe latte & Matcha Late are fantastic. It's was nice that the large hot drinks were actually large!Enjoyed the shakshuka & Ukrainian Breakfast. The raspberry & white chocolate scone was excellent! The raspberry crumble cake was unbelievably good!

The food was excellent! Sandwiches & traditional breakfast. Salmon looked great & I enjoyed the Ukrainian sausage 🙂 Tables are ideal for 2 or 4 but they accommodated us as 6 & we still had space. Good coffee too.
