🍳🥚We had an absolutely fantastic brunch at Ricardo in Laval. The food was delicious, incredibly fresh, & full of exciting flavors. The dishes felt creative & different from the usual brunch options, & every plate we ordered was outstanding. The portions were generous & the prices were very reasonable for the quality.
A special thank you to Arianne, who was amazing. She was extremely helpful, knew the menu inside out, & made wonderful recommendations. Her service made the whole experience even better.
The atmosphere is warm & inviting, everything was very clean (including the bathrooms), & the overall experience was excellent from start to finish.
Highly recommended. We already can't wait to come back. If you're planning to visit on the weekend, I definitely recommend making a reservation.
My new go to in terms of Birthday cakes! The prices are very fair for the size & quality. Unlike many of the pretty cakes out there that are just plain sugar bombs, these are packed with flavour. Totally worth the 40?minute drive for me.

Nous avions de grandes attentes considérant la réputation de Ricardo. Malheureusement, notre expérience a été loin d'être à la hauteur de cette réputation.
D'abord, le menu déjeuner nous a surpris par son manque de variété : seulement quatre ou cinq plats principaux étaient proposés, offrant très peu de choix pour un établissement de ce calibre.
Nous avons également demandé une simple modification - retirer le fromage du pain tranché - ce qui nous a été refusé sous prétexte que « le fromage est déjà sur la tranche » & qu'il était impossible de l'enlever. Pour un restaurant haut de gamme, cette rigidité est difficile à comprendre & donne l'impression qu'aucune attention particulière n'est portée aux besoins des clients.
Les cafés filtres ont aussi été une déception : beaucoup trop doux, au point où un café de chez Tim hortons aurait été plus corsé. Cela a malheureusement renforcé le sentiment général d'un repas qui manque de finesse.
Enfin, les plats que nous avons choisis n'ont tout simplement pas été à notre goût. Rien ne justifiait les prix élevés demandés, & l'ensemble de l'expérience a laissé un arrière-goût d'inachevé.
En somme, malgré la réputation de Ricardo, notre visite s'est révélée décevante. Nous espérons que le restaurant saura accorder plus d'attention aux demandes des clients afin d'être à la hauteur de l'image qu'il projette.
Nous avons réservé le Café Ricardo pour un événement très spécial.

Cette soirée a été réussi en grande partie grâce à la collaboration de toute l'équipe du Café. Entre autre, à la très charmante & efficace Sylvana, une alliée hors pair.
La planification, les repas succulents & aussi une attention particulière aux allergies alimentaires & coeliaque.
Surtout sans oublier le service impeccable de Noémie, Jade & Gabrielle.
Tous les invités ont beaucoup appréciés leur soirée grâce à la qualité & le professionnalisme du Café Ricardo.
Un immense merci pour cette magnifique soirée qui fut une très grande réussite.
J'adore cet endroit! La nourriture est délicieuse & goûteuse. Les produits du menu vont selon les saisons. Le service est plus qu'excellent. Je recommande!
Esthetically speaking, beautiful brunch restaurant, the service was perfect, staff was helpful & very efficient.
However, I would say that, since the restaurant has Ricardo's name, I was expecting mind blowing food, which was not the case. It was good, but nothing crazy. I will not go back, but if someone cares more about the esthetic, environment & service, I would say it's a good place to go.
