Overall, reviews show Nab as a warm, welcoming spot for authentic Persian cuisine, with kebabs and koobideh praised for tenderness and depth of flavor, tahdig praised for crunch and balance, and saffron rice and fresh salads accompanying dishes. The atmosphere is described as cozy and inviting, with a family run vibe and attentive, friendly service, generous portions, and dishes made with care using high quality ingredients. Some notes mention that busy times or larger groups can lead to slower service, but staff are accommodating and the kitchen tends to keep things moving and well presented. The menu covers a range from traditional meals to hearty dinners, with vegetarian and vegan options available and desserts and tea offering a complete Persian dining experience. Overall, Nab emerges as a highly recommended destination for authentic flavors, consistent quality, and a memorable evening out in Montreal.
An exceptional Persian dining experience! The food was not only authentic but bursting with rich, traditional flavors. The service was incredibly warm & welcoming. The setting is charming & cozy, with delightful décor that adds to the overall ambiance. A true hidden gem-highly recommended!
If you're in Montreal & craving authentic Persian food, this gem is an absolute must-visit. The combination of mouthwatering dishes & sweet, attentive service makes it a standout in a city full of great options. Highly recommend! It's rare to find a restaurant where both the quality of food & the kindness of the people are equally exceptionaI. We had family dinner & went back the next day for breakfast.
❤?🤍💚A Remarkable Transformation with Unforgettable Flavors!
After spending 10 years in Vancouver, I found myself in Montreal & craving a taste of authentic, home-cooked cuisine. I recently ordered Ghorme Sabzi & Chelo Mahiche, & the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite of the Ghorme Sabzi burst with deep, well-balanced flavors, & the Chelo Mahiche was so tender & perfectly prepared-it truly captured the essence of traditional cooking.
The new family management has revitalized this restaurant with a personal touch & genuine care for quality. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every detail, & it's clear they are passionate about preserving the authenticity of these classic dishes. To the owner & the entire team: thank you for restoring the magic of this place. Your dedication has not only satisfied my cravings but also reminded me of why I fell in love with good food in the first place.
I'm honored to share my experience & look forward to many more memorable meals here.

My husband & I loved this place. We are visiting Montreal & decided to try this restaurant since my husband is Persian. The food was so authentic & delicious! If you're looking for an authentic & unforgettable dining experience, this Iranian restaurant is a must-visit! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality & an inviting ambiance. The food is absolutely exquisite-perfectly seasoned kebabs, fragrant saffron rice, & rich stews that transport you straight to Iran. The flavors are fresh, bold, & perfectly balanced. Their freshly baked bread & dips were also irresistible. Every dish is crafted with care, showcasing the richness of Iranian culinary heritage. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a unique & delicious meal. Whether you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant will leave you raving. I'll definitely be returning soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good authentic persian food. Ash (soup) & Safran ice cream are a must. Main dishes not as tasty as expected. The menu is a little limited. Too bad they don't offer a wider choice of those celebrated iranian stews (fessenjoon & many others). The setting is small & nice. The large TV screen is a turn off for me... Price range is OK but limit towards the quality offered. Will come back, but still am looking for that real persian home taste.
We had a BD party. The only thing that we like is the ambiance - calm & authentic.. for this the resto get 1+ stars from 5....
First of all when we choose from the menu & wanted to order the waiter said that we're missing this, that & so on..She was very aggressive from the beginning, the food was not as described in the menu & rice was totally cold. I ordered "beef stew goulash with beans" there were 2 small pieces of meat - 1 beef & another one chicken!.... when waiter asked why there is a chicken in beef stew she couldn't explain & seemed very mad that we asked.... My friend order "white fish"... they served salmon.... when we told her that this is not a white fish again she was very mad... Another friend ordered the same like me, the beef stew, it was just 1 piece of meat- chicken with skin!.......... also, There were small bones in the salmon....
Dessert: I didn't want too complicate i said - ICEcream... pretty clear... what I received it was some different dessert kind of ice cream but with nuts! I'm allergic to nuts, I didn't asked (forgot the name) I just said icecream & they decide to bring me the one that more expensive...
BILLS: Our friend had total for food 19$... they calculate somehow taxes & 15% tip (by default) & somehow his bill went up to 44$!!!!!!!!!!! 200% tips WTH they said- ooops mistake... but for the rest people they just add 15% tip by default... but the service was terrible! it wasn't mentioned that the tip is by default if we are group more than 7 people..... she said it when we asked why she added 15% tip.... HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! AVOID!!
Hi, We are disappointed you and your guests did not have a pleasant experience. Please note all menu items are subject to availability based on season and supply. Our stew Ghormeh Sabzi is rich in flavor and only contains Grade AAA Canadian beef. As for our Persian ice cream, which is we are the only Persian restaurant to make in house and the most sought after desert, does contain pistachios as indicated in our menu. There are many other items that contains nuts or nut products and these are also clearly indicated. We always expect patrons to advise of any food allergies prior to ordering. Thank you,
