Finally a good real coffee after almost a week drinking over diluted coffee in our apartment. so happy to have found Cafe Di Bernardo. We spotted this little cafe on our way to take metro & decided to get an espresso. As expected, coffee was good that we decided to come back the next day to find out their operational hour is closed after lunch service. Because their coffee is the best so far in Montreal, we make sure to come before 3pm & enjoy our lunch there. We did not disappoint, food is great as expected & service is friendly & efficient. Kudos! If you like real coffee, this is the place to go. If you like your coffee weak, then vas ailleurs.
I came upon this gem of a place by accident. That is really serendipity! If you are looking for great coffee, that's the place IMO Short summary for tldr: This is probably the best coffee I have tasted in Montréal so far. More details : *Great beans* with, I assume the proper Arabica/Robusta mix, roasted in Italy as per Italian taste. *Good machine* Rancilio is a very reliable warhorse. *Skilled barista* able to pull an expresso & let its quality shine *Delicious pastries & biscuits* most probably freshly baked nearby *Authentic Italian food* displayed in the chilled window, looking fresh & very attractive. *Interesting menu* that I have to go back & check Full disclosure, I'm a coffee shop & restaurant owner in Jakarta, where I live. I'm French & really love coffee. It's my second visit to Montreal in as many years. My daughter is starting university this month & last year we came here for a scouting visit. Before coming to MTL last year, I researched the "best" coffee places, searched for "third wave coffee in Montreal" & on all the sites, I was told how wonderful the food & coffee scene is in Montreal... I spent a couple of weeks checking almost every place & was quite always disappointed (something to do with expectations, I guess) Café Di Bernardo is, in my opinion a place where the owner & the staff are passionate about their trade. Congratulations! You've made my day & I'll definitely be back.
Walking down the street, looking for a bite to eat. We meet a nice man outside who invited us in & went inside for a delicious sandwich & great latte & delightful tiramisu. The same gentleman brought us a delicious pie on the house & said happy new year. So kind, will return.
The best coffee ever, the owner Francesco take care a lot, from the production of the coffee to serve it to the clients. Price/quality pretty good! From the coffe to pastry dessert ecct! Excellent . Highly recommend !
Ls bomba con la crema e il caffe' espresso e' come a Roma. Vale veramente la pena. Finalmente a Montreal
Great cafe super close to Metro Beaudry & core downtown, with delicious sweet treats that balance perfectly with a latte; cold or hot. The staff are friendly & welcoming, & it's a great place to sit & unwind, especially in the summer when the front opens up to welcome the sun!
We had the most delicious lunch at Cafe Di Bernardo. The cannolis are to die for.
