Across reviews, Café Capybara comes across as a charming, ultra cute cafe centered on capybaras, offering a cozy vibe, a wide drinks menu with items like matcha, pistachio latte, taro, guava, coconut water based drinks, Seoul coffee, and specialties such as matcha creme brulee and dalgona style drinks, plus a back craft space and a rich array of capybara plushies and themed merchandise that many say adds to the fun. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and family friendly, with friendly staff who are often English friendly, though a few notes mention busy periods and understaffing that can make service slow, and some visits point to limited seating for casual coffee drinkers or occasional menu limitations. Overall the sentiment is that Café Capybara is a must visit for capybara lovers, a place to relax and enjoy creative drinks and crafts, with the decor and merch elevating the experience, and many expressing plans to return to try more flavors and participate in workshops.
I visited the store after seeing their TikTok ads. There's not much to say - the drinks were just okay. They do have cute Capybara plush toys, but there was no seating area when I visited. At the back of the café, there's a phone case-making workshop, which looks fun.

If you're crazy about capybaras, this place is a dream come true! It's an absolute paradise for capybara lovers.
That said, be prepared to wait. The café is seriously understaffed. There was only one person handling everything: making drinks, ringing up purchases (including plushies & merch), & managing the café counter. Because of that, the wait can easily stretch to about an hour, even if you're just trying to buy a stuffed capybara.
We even tried to pay at another station in the back, but the staff there told us we could only pay at the drink counter, so back in line we went.
& when we finally got to the front to pay - after waiting all that time - we didn't even get a'thank you' or any acknowledgment from the staff. No greeting, no smile, nothing. It felt rushed (obviously because there's only ONE person) & a bit disappointing, especially after such a long wait.
Still, the capybaras totally make up for it. Just come with a bit of patience & maybe bring a good podcast to keep you company while you wait! 😅

I just got home from a tasting at the brand new Capybara Café, & honestly? I'm still thinking about it.
They're serving up Korean-inspired coffee creations that are full of heart (& foam). Their coffee beans are custom-made just for them - & you can taste the love in every sip.
One thing I loved? They whip up their foam toppings fresh every single morning. No shortcuts, just that thick, silky goodness. & if you're a bonbon drink fan like me, their whipped topping is made with cream cheese, condensed milk, & a little magic. So good !
My personal favorites from the tasting:
Bonbon à la noix de coco - Fraise: Coconut water + strawberry = summer in a cup. Light, creamy, just sweet enough - basically a cloud you can sip.
☕ Café Viennois - Pistachio: If pistachio is your love language, this one's for you. Rich, nutty, & luxuriously smooth.
Bonbon à la noix de coco - Taro: the earthy sweetness & coconut base hit just right.
& not to be dramatic, but the café itself is adorable. Capybara merch, plushy keychains , & cute decor everywhere. It feels like stepping into a capybara's dream world.
If you're into coffee with a side of cuteness (& extra foam), Capybara Café is definitely worth a visit. I'm already planning my next trip back to try more of their unique creations . The guava iced americano is calling my name.
I share local foodie finds & cultural gems at @foxyappetite on Instagram & @foxy.appetite on TikTok - & this one definitely earned a spot.

We showed up unannounced one evening a few weeks ago. The place was fully booked, yet Jules & Bean took the time to show us around, help our kids pick out some fun gear to decorate, & they even managed to score us a table.l eventually.
What was supposed to be a bit of window shopping turned into an hour & a half of fun, with both kids ecstatic with their creations.
