Across reviews, Café Capybara comes across as a charming, ultra cute cafe centered on capybaras, offering a cozy vibe, a wide drinks menu with items like matcha, pistachio latte, taro, guava, coconut water based drinks, Seoul coffee, and specialties such as matcha creme brulee and dalgona style drinks, plus a back craft space and a rich array of capybara plushies and themed merchandise that many say adds to the fun. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and family friendly, with friendly staff who are often English friendly, though a few notes mention busy periods and understaffing that can make service slow, and some visits point to limited seating for casual coffee drinkers or occasional menu limitations. Overall the sentiment is that Café Capybara is a must visit for capybara lovers, a place to relax and enjoy creative drinks and crafts, with the decor and merch elevating the experience, and many expressing plans to return to try more flavors and participate in workshops.
I went with my brother & uncle i loved the capybara mini plushs it was so cute their drinks are ok & the graduation capybara was so cute & i got that one but the yellow string on the red one got off & i had to fix it & they didn't have that many choices of what to drink & eat not gonna lie but they have to add more stuff & food to their menu. But other than that i would want to go again & get another capybara to my capybara collection😍😎😆.

It's a lovely cafe with a theme: the most zen animal of the world- capybara! It's really adorable & there's a huge capybara that you could take picture with. I tried the hot chocolate that's not on the menu, for winter I need something warm!
Bonne ambiance & boissons top, ça change sur Montréal avec l'ambiance capybara en plus , merci aussi pour les toping & souvenirs, on en a profité pour faire les activités confections de bijoux. Super souvenirs !
I've been passing by this café for a while & a friend finally recommended it to us, so we decided to check it out. I got the Seoul coffee & it was delicious. The place is really cute with capybara plushies everywhere. There's a big crafting area in the back & I wasn't sure if we could sit there, but overall it's such a nice little spot to grab a drink:)
Offre un peu limité, mais avec quelques produits hors du commun. Le personnel est accueillant & très gentil. Tout les produits sont offert en mode pour emporter, mais vous pouvez consommer sur place. Les peluches capybaras justifient le déplacement.

Saw the reviews for this quaint little coffee shop online so we had to make our way down to Café Capybara. It wasn't what I was expecting.
One young lady at the front taking & making drink orders. While waiting for our drinks to be made, I walked around & although there were some cute keychains, headbands & other things you can craft; it appeared like they ran out of inventory. At the back it seemed like they were getting ready to hold a soap or keychain making lesson.
We ordered the hot matchabary & the pistachios in coconut water. I used two sugars in the matcha, which was perfectly?!!😋
A nice little spot for young kids while waiting for their parents' drinks to be made.
It's a cute store capybara theme ! I absolutely love the new relook at this place capybara vibe!! As the others reviews mentioned, they didn't had much things to offer aside the decorations, a few plushies & capybara theme items in their stocks + drinks but it's a really adorable vibe for any capybara lovers 😊!
I visited the store after seeing their TikTok ads. There's not much to say - the drinks were just okay. They do have cute Capybara plush toys, but there was no seating area when I visited. At the back of the café, there's a phone case-making workshop, which looks fun.
If you're crazy about capybaras, this place is a dream come true! It's an absolute paradise for capybara lovers.
That said, be prepared to wait. The café is seriously understaffed. There was only one person handling everything: making drinks, ringing up purchases (including plushies & merch), & managing the café counter. Because of that, the wait can easily stretch to about an hour, even if you're just trying to buy a stuffed capybara.
We even tried to pay at another station in the back, but the staff there told us we could only pay at the drink counter, so back in line we went.
& when we finally got to the front to pay - after waiting all that time - we didn't even get a'thank you' or any acknowledgment from the staff. No greeting, no smile, nothing. It felt rushed (obviously because there's only ONE person) & a bit disappointing, especially after such a long wait.
Still, the capybaras totally make up for it. Just come with a bit of patience & maybe bring a good podcast to keep you company while you wait! 😅
