What a fantastic restaurant! Centrally located near Notre-Dame Basilica, it's tucked into a quaint corner with a beautiful bar & a really inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & took the time to answer all of our questions & make great recommendations.
Everything we ordered was delicious! We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, cacio e pepe, & chicken Parmesan, but the real standouts were the bolognese, homemade focaccia, & eggplant Parmesan. The bolognese was incredible; little pasta pillows stuffed with soft, creamy potato & served with the most decadent bolognese sauce. The focaccia was homemade & absolutely delicious, & the eggplant Parmesan was one of our favorites.
The cheesecake was the perfect way to finish the meal, & the complimentary shots were such a fun surprise!
Great food, great service, & a wonderful atmosphere. We had the best evening & would absolutely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a memorable meal.
Old Montreal is a wonderfully rich tapestry of dining experiences. Some date back decades, some are brand new on the cuisine scene. Bocca Di Lupo is one of those new establishments but if you told me it had been here forever I'd believe you. The space is elegant but not pretentious. Cozy but not crowded. Bustling with energy but not so loud you have to shout to your dinner guests. The food is incredible. We ate Family Style - which gave us the chance to try more dishes & experience so many more awesome flavours. The salads were bright & fresh, the calamari not over battered or oily. The pasta was on point. But the star of the show was the branzino! Perfect texture, unbelievable flavour! A must try! 10/10 recommend! But above all else - the experience was weaved together by the amazing service. We walked in & were treated like regulars on our first night. The whole staff was incredibly welcoming & friendly which made us feel at home. Our server Naïza was a real star - bright & knowledgeable & sharp & funny - she treated us like family. She really made the experience extra special for us. We will absolutely be back & will steer our friends this way when they visit this beautiful part of Montreal!
A New Favorite: Bocca di Lupo Delivers an Unforgettable Night
We walked in last night without a reservation, hoping to grab seats at the bar. Maurice, the manager, made it happen & made us feel welcome from the start.
Charles behind the bar was a true talent. His cocktails were beautiful & delicious, & his dinner recommendations were spot-on. The gnocchi was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever had.
The entire staff made us feel like regulars on our first visit, & Maurice's attention to detail turned dinner into a truly memorable experience. Bocca di Lupo will definitely be our go-to stop when we're in Montreal.
Highly recommend? Grab a seat at the bar & let Charles take care of you.
Bocca Di Lupo is a fantastic new addition to Montréal's dining scene. The staff are genuinely warm & friendly, & the food is outstanding.
The gnocchi is especially worth trying - pillowy light, beautifully prepared, & incredibly rich in flavour.
We dropped in during a very busy dinner service without a reservation, & Maurice could not have been more welcoming. Despite how busy they were, he found a way to slip us into a spot & made us feel completely at home.
That said, I would **strongly recommend making a reservation**. This is one restaurant you really don't want to miss.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Bocca Di Lupo is a true little gem, & we will absolutely be back!
Was visiting Vieux Port with my daughter in July 2026. Stopped in to have an appetizer & cocktails. Very beautiful restaurant inside a gorgeous building. Wait staff were very friendly, knowledgeable & service was excellent. We ordered an Aperol & Hugo Spritz with focaccia & calimari fritti. Delicious. Loved being able to relax & enjoy the atmosphere of the space. Would visit again!
Absolutely loved our dinner at Bocca di Lupo. Everything we tried was incredibly fresh, flavourful & beautifully prepared.
We started with the focaccia & beef carpaccio, followed by the scallop crudo. For our mains, we shared the branzino with clams, the tortelli with mascarpone & ragù, & the rapini, all excellent. The flavours were refined without being fussy, & you could really taste the quality of the ingredients.
We were celebrating my gf's birthday, so of course we had dessert. The tiramisu was a surprise highlight. She usually isn't a tiramisu fan & absolutely loved it. The chocolate crumble added such a great texture.
A great new addition to Old Montreal. Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere & definitely a place we'll come back to.
We had the great pleasure of visiting Bocca Di Lupo last night while celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We made this reservation same day & were surprised that they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday night.
I will say up front, that this restaurant is five stars for every category. If you wish, you can stop reading now & just make your reservation.
Our experience right from arrival was beyond expectation. The service was impeccable from the friendly greeting as we arrived to the seating to the bartender, Tristan. Tristan was exceptionally good; having just the right amount of social interaction but never too much. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with him throughout the evening. His expert crafting of our cocktails & timely menu advice were greatly appreciated.
The food was simply…so good. The chef was clearly top shelf as every entrée that we observed was incredible. We had read the previous reviews & of course followed other's advice. We started with Insalata Mista which was light & citrusy with a beautifully created dressing that complimented the ingredients perfectly. Alongside the entire meal we enjoyed the Homemade Focaccia which did not disappoint. Light & soft on the inside, perfectly crusty on the outside with the perfect amount of sea salt & olive oil distributed throughout, just as promised in previous reviews. For the mains we enjoyed the Melanzane Alla Parmigiana & the Gnocchi Di Ricatta… also, as previously reviewed & prepared perfectly. I will not get into the details here as I've already gone on too long.
I simply cannot provide a higher recommendation for this restaurant. The owners & the Chef have created a real gem in the heart of the Old Port that will not be hidden for long.
