Review Summary

Beroya offers an authentic Levantine experience with fresh flavorful mezze and generously portioned mains like kebabs and kafta, making it easy to share a wide variety of dishes with friends and family. The hummus, mutabbal, tabbouleh, fattoush, and other mezzes are repeatedly praised for their freshness and balance of flavors, and the grilled selections are described as juicy and well seasoned. The atmosphere feels warm and lively, with attentive staff who help guide the tasting experience and ensure a smooth service, though weekends can be crowded and the room may get loud. Some guests note higher prices and occasional variability in certain dishes, but many feel the quality and hospitality still deliver strong value and a memorable night out. Overall, Beroya is regarded as a standout Syrian Lebanese venue in the area, a reliable choice for a celebratory dinner or a flavorful group meal that leaves guests planning a return visit.

A very good Syrian restaurant in Laval. Generally, none of the meals on their menu is below average. However, kibbeh & stuffed wine leaves are exceptionally good.

had: cheese roll, falafel, hommos hab el labban, mouttabal, yalangy, salad arugula with halloum, frikkeh & mozzat. take out, 130 CAD on a positive note, the mouttabal was fine. but, i would not be surprised if it turned out the falafel were made from store bought mix (more on that later). very dry, no crunch on outside, none of the qualities of an elite falafel. the hab el labban was forgettable, which is maybe a high point here. 90+% of the volume of the arugula salad with halum was indeed just a dump of arugula, which, fair, is true to the name, but its also a 20$+ salad so id expect something more inspired. the "gourmet" menu section frikkeh was easily the weakest dish of the bunch. overcooked, hardly seasoned grain whose consistency & lack of flavor resembled that of oatmeal. seasoning aside, the meat was... acceptable? but really nothing special either, i again here have doubts about its supposed "gourmet" nature. this was such a thoroughly bland meal. i was excited to try this because some reviewers claim this is competitive with a certain other famous or infamous syrian restaurant in montreal. whatever you think of the "value" of the latter, i cant help but think such reviews were produced under the sway of some ideology; these two are _not even playing the same sport._ the thing that really got me was the pita thrown into our takeout order, pictured below. this is a microcosm of my whole beroya experience. to present (& charge) as a middle eastern locale on the finer side & not have enough pride in the craft to bake your own is wild to me. at least if you're going to use pita from the grocery, throw it on the grill & in another bag or something, you might fool some clients. come on yall

Honestly I hate to put a negative review on such a nice place, but it's aggravating to pay 200CAD+ for two people & not get anything special out of it. My husband & I went for the iftar menu, & honestly it's tooooooooo overpriced for the portions - you get a SCOOP, one scoop of lentil soup, seriously? In comparison to lylac which also has a nice atmosphere & the EXACT same food, you get DOUBLE the portion there (lentil soup, mezze, etc) for half the money paid & they both taste amazing For clarity, the taste is amazing, except for the filet mignon kababs they were chewy. The service is also very good, but to pay this much for normal Syrian food is too much honestly with no live entertainment or anything special to make it this expensive is not worth it - no added value whatsoever. Not repeating unfortunately.

A chic Syrian resto/bar. The service & ambience were nice. Food didn't impress me though. I've ordered a fattoush & a grilled koftah with nuts. The koftah was hard & dry. Probably wasn't lucky with both of my choices. Overall, I can still try some of their other dishes

This is a great place if you are looking for Syrian food. All the classics are in the menu, the flavors are amazing & the prices are very good vs quality & quantity This one is highly recommended. Staff is friendly & helpful, & good place to visit with family & small children as well.

Food vs Value is horrible I've never paid 13.00 for hummus & 85.00 for 6 skewers of kebab. Basically 130.00 tax in for the above which is RIDICULOUS This place is way too expensive given the fact that there are so many other amazing Syrian/lebanese restos. Lylac in Laval is just as tasty & one third the price. For take out Aux VIEUX Masis is the reigning champ in terms of value & taste. Unfortunately I will never go back.

we ordered the taster menu, which included starters, cold & hot entrees, main meal & dessert....it was 79$ for two people. everything was very good. service was fast, & efficient until we got all our food, then it seemed like the wait staff disappeared & didnt want us to go.....not a problem for us because we sat & chatted but it may be an issue if youre in a hurry.....it was our first time there, first time having syrian cuisine....some plates similar to other middle eastern restaurants...the fatouche salad was very delicious, so was the beet salad, & the 4 dips that came with the warm pita bread....everything was very flavourful & spiced just right, nothing overpowering .....the dessert was to die for, it was icecream with cotton candy. like nothing we have ever seen before or eaten before...we are definately going back there, this time with a large group....
