Baristello Griffintown comes across as a top coffee spot with an excellent Americano and tasty pastries like pistachio croissants with apricot cream, plus friendly, attentive staff. The vibe is warm and neighborhood oriented, with a cozy space and a popular terrace in summer, and the team is frequently praised for making guests feel welcome; while some comments note pricing or value concerns and occasional variability in sandwiches, the overall impression is that the coffee quality is outstanding and the place functions as a welcoming community space that draws locals and dog lovers alike.
Very nice place! Dripped coffee was very tasty - Brazilian blend - & the croissant pair with it really well! It is cozy & very nice place to drink a good cofffee
Amazing cozy neighborhoods café, delicious coffee, sandwiches & snacks, coolest staff ever. Perfect for a meet-up of to work. In the summer they have the coolest terrace outside!
Great place! The coffee is awesome! The quality is just as exceptional as it is at the other locations. I asked the barista for advice on what to try, asked what i liked & what i didn't like & came up with a fantastic drink. Highly suggest you visit.
By far the best coffee in griffintown & one of the best in the city… I miss their old port location too (by a different name). The parade of beautiful dogs that attend with their humans is not to be missed… my daughter calls it'the doggy cafe'
Walked in thinking we were grabbing some tasty sandwiches & coffees from Bodega & were disappointed by the raised prices & lowered quality of products of this new place. Sandwiches were mediocre, coffee was alright but not worth the price. Overall expensive & not worth it.

Baristello on de la Montagne has become my go-to spot in Montreal, & a huge part of that is thanks to Piero, the owner. What a genuinely great guy!
From the moment you walk in, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere that Pierro has created. He's incredibly personable & down to earth, the kind of owner who actually takes the time to chat with customers & makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
The coffee is exceptional, & you can tell there's real passion behind every cup. But beyond the quality drinks, it's Piero's authentic approach to hospitality that keeps me coming back. He's created more than just a coffee shop, it's a community space where everyone feels comfortable & valued. Easy to talk to people in coffee culture.
Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or settling in for a while, Baristello delivers on all fronts. The combination of excellent coffee, a prime location on de la Montagne, & Piero's genuine warmth makes this place truly special.
If you're in Montreal & looking for a coffee spot with character & heart, Baristello is a must-visit. You'll stay for the coffee & come back for the people!
Absolutely amazing coffee & pastries. As an Italian who moved to Montreal, I really find that this place really makes me miss home a bit less! Was a fan of the Outremont spot & it's great to now have a closer location for me. Definitely need to pay a visit if you're in the area!
