Great bar with a really lively atmosphere even on normal days. I felt welcome right from the start. Super helpful staff who also tried really hard to share the amazing Playlist with me, which after many attempts worked out. MERCI BEAUCOUP 😊
The food used to be great when they first opened, & the drinks are consistently good with a nice selection of cocktails, spirits, & bubbles. However, the staff is hit or miss; some are very kind & professional, while others are fake & extremely mean. I had a particularly bad experience where two clients were arguing next to me. The barman, in front of everyone including my friends, grabbed my glass of champagne & started screaming at me. This was despite one of the arguing clients apologizing for pushing me. His ego was so high that he ignored everyone, including his colleagues, who pointed out I wasn't involved. We ended up leaving because I wanted to call the police after he spilled the champagne on me. I met with one of the owners who was sincerely apologetic, but the service recovery was lacking. I wasn't offered a reimbursement for my drink (which I did not even want), nor did the barman apologize; I just wanted an acknowledgment of the rude behavior. While the place can be enjoyable, if you are mistreated, there are other spots. I hope they improve their hiring process to get kinder staff. PS: I used to be a regular.

Finally tried Renard after being a regular of their amazing sister restaurant, Tendresse. The vegan nachos are amazing, I'll definitely be back for them! Pretzel was good, but the impossible burger was not my favourite.
Sat there on the patio for 7-8 minutes waiting for service, The place was empty & all I could hear is French accents arguing. So I just left. Strike #2 of my Village experience.
Dive bar if dive bars weren't seedy & gross. Pretty clean, comfy seating, beautiful spot of the city in the warm seasons. Wheelchair accessible in warm seasons only, due to the outdoor seating having a ramp to go up the curb steps. VERY queer LGBTQ+ welcoming Unisex, open, safe bathrooms All orders are pay-as-they're-served, which feels cheapo, but honestly makes this SO easy when a big group, & when ya wanna head out you just go.
The night always depends on the DJ. When it's good, it's great & the crowd is fun. Fridays seem better than other nights. It can get too crowded but you can usually find your spot & have a great time with friends.
Before & After drinks before a Show at the classic l'Olympic Theatre. Situated in the village, it caters to all who cross its threshold. Wonderful staff & good selection of drinks. Clean & genderless bathrooms. This is a genuine adult safe space for drinks & meeting others.
