CAFFETTIERA (une cafetière Moka en italien), situé dans le Mille carré doré de Montréal, est un bar italien inspiré des années 90.
Le ‘‘ bar ’’, pour les italiens, est l’endroit où l’on va durant sa journée, pour prendre une pause. Notre espresso est torréfié en Italie et infusé avec des machines à piston Vittorio Arduini ainsi qu’avec les classiques Bialettis.

Caffettiera (moka coffee pot in italian) is a 90’s inspired Italian bar located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile. For Italians, the “bar” is where one goes to take a break from the day.
Our espresso is roasted in Italy and brewed from shiny Vittorio Arduini Lever machines as well as classic Bialettis.
Bar Caffettiera stands out as a compact downtown Italian cafe where authentic Italian coffees, pastries, and snacks are the main draw, with espresso, macchiatos, croissants and bomboloni praised for their quality and a Granita latte noted by many. The atmosphere is lively, warm, and stylish, mixing retro decor with a bustling, welcoming crowd, and the staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. The experience can feel busy and loud at times, with music that may be loud for some, and seating can be tight, especially during peak hours; a no laptops policy is mentioned by some as part of the focus on enjoying the moment. Overall, it is regarded as a standout coffee destination downtown, offering an immersive Italian vibe that makes visitors want to return regularly, sometimes as a preferred morning or mid afternoon stop, with a terrace in good weather.
A proper cafe/bar Italian style. Small & crowded with bad pop music & great coffee! Fast friendly service to get you in & the out quickly. I wish there were more authentic places like this one.

My go to stop for morning coffee. 100m from our hotel. Staff are super friendly. Coffee is small but mighty! Very flavourful, I even purchased beans to brew at home. The pastries were delightful , they have a hint of orange not my favourite but still delicious. You'll find all things Italian in this shop. Even some adventurous cocktails.
Great pit stop on my way to class! Been here twice for their iced latte & have yet to try their food, but it looks very yummy & I'll be back to try. The iced latte is more of a "slush" but it's honestly unlike anything I've had & it's impeccable. The staff is also always friendly! Great place.
We stumbled on this coffee shop after a day of shopping before heading back to our hotel. It was a great idea as they seemed to have some really great coffee, & the decor was very instagrammable. It wasn't too busy at the time of day we went so we were able to find a table inside. I had the Caffe Nocciola & it was very good (& I'm not a big coffee drinker, either).
I understand the idea that you guys are passionate about coffee but it can definitely come off as snobby. There was also a very heavy smell of acrylic & acetone.

Great classic Italian coffee! Very busy place mid-morning but we managed to snag a spot to sit & soon after it calmed down quite a bit. Great ambience, definitely would come back (& would try their pastries!)
The shop itself is adorable & the staff were very friendly. I ordered the Marocchino & it was a yummy treat. If you’re looking to avoid the big chains like me, this place is great! They also had great pastry, sandwich & alcohol options available as well.
As a coffee fan from Europe, this was the only cafe with good espresso or cappuccino I found in my 4 weeks trip through Canada!
Definitely the best, I recommend it.
The Focaccia & Ciabatta were also great.
