CAFFETTIERA (une cafetière Moka en italien), situé dans le Mille carré doré de Montréal, est un bar italien inspiré des années 90.
Le ‘‘ bar ’’, pour les italiens, est l’endroit où l’on va durant sa journée, pour prendre une pause. Notre espresso est torréfié en Italie et infusé avec des machines à piston Vittorio Arduini ainsi qu’avec les classiques Bialettis.

Caffettiera (moka coffee pot in italian) is a 90’s inspired Italian bar located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile. For Italians, the “bar” is where one goes to take a break from the day.
Our espresso is roasted in Italy and brewed from shiny Vittorio Arduini Lever machines as well as classic Bialettis.
Bar Caffettiera stands out as a compact downtown Italian cafe where authentic Italian coffees, pastries, and snacks are the main draw, with espresso, macchiatos, croissants and bomboloni praised for their quality and a Granita latte noted by many. The atmosphere is lively, warm, and stylish, mixing retro decor with a bustling, welcoming crowd, and the staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. The experience can feel busy and loud at times, with music that may be loud for some, and seating can be tight, especially during peak hours; a no laptops policy is mentioned by some as part of the focus on enjoying the moment. Overall, it is regarded as a standout coffee destination downtown, offering an immersive Italian vibe that makes visitors want to return regularly, sometimes as a preferred morning or mid afternoon stop, with a terrace in good weather.
Such a cute coffee spot! First of all the coffee is really good & they got a couple specialty coffee drinks worth trying. I also got a Pistachio bomboloni which was delicious. + The staff at the counter was very sweet & welcoming as well. + The decor is absolutely adorable. Space is limited though, so keep that in mind when coming in that you may not have a spot to sit down (& the available space is cramped). It's a shame since the café is so cute & you would want to sit down to enjoy it, but hey not much can be done about that. It is what it is.
Visiting the area for the week & came across this place nearby where I'm staying. Friendly service, very quick to make drinks & a good amount of tables to sit at. The cappuccino with oat milk was very good. High quality Italian espresso. The pistachio cream donut & Nutella filled pastry were both great. I'd definitely recommending stopping in here, it's worth the trip.
It's just me or this shop has the best coffee in the neighborhood? By the way I only tried latte. Perfect score for the latte & the service, & the mini size bakery which is just what you need for a light coffee break.

Bar Caffettiera Montreal is simply outstanding. The coffees & pastries are delicious, served with a smile by an amazing team. The ambiance is stunning -a perfect spot to enjoy top-notch coffee. Always a pleasure to visit!
Été ou hiver il y a toujours une bonne raison de passer au Bar Caffetriera. Recommandé par un collègue italien durant l'été 2023 j'y retourne régulièrement pour luncher, les sandwichs sont délicieux & le café aussi bien sûr.
We were in Montréal for three days, & I'm glad I found this place on our first,'cause we went there every single day during our stay. Great coffee, tasty food & an excellent service. The guys working there were very helpful & friendly. We really liked the Marocchino, the Nocciola & the Caffelatte. I also recommend the Cornetto Salato & whichever focaccia sandwich is available,'cause you can't really go wrong there! It's definitely my favorite cafe in Montreal
Bar Caffettiera has a lot of character & makes you feel like you've just walked into a legit Italian establishment. The people are warm & friendly & entertained our many questions without getting annoyed. This is a great place to meet up with friends & family, but there isn't too much seating so be prepared to find somewhere to set up shop if the place is packed. Besides the staff & the aesthetics the food & coffee hit the mark. Overall this was one of our favorite places we went to during our visit to Montreal.
J'y ai juste pris un café☕+ brioche🍞 à la pistache. Le tout était parfaitement équilibré en sucre, j'apprécie la justesse🥰 car trop de sucre est vite écoeurant mais là ce n'était pas le cas. Le coin salle est un peut petit mais l'ambiance y est conviviale & pas trop bruyante, j'y ai même pu lire un peu.
