CAFFETTIERA (une cafetière Moka en italien), situé dans le Mille carré doré de Montréal, est un bar italien inspiré des années 90.
Le ‘‘ bar ’’, pour les italiens, est l’endroit où l’on va durant sa journée, pour prendre une pause. Notre espresso est torréfié en Italie et infusé avec des machines à piston Vittorio Arduini ainsi qu’avec les classiques Bialettis.

Caffettiera (moka coffee pot in italian) is a 90’s inspired Italian bar located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile. For Italians, the “bar” is where one goes to take a break from the day.
Our espresso is roasted in Italy and brewed from shiny Vittorio Arduini Lever machines as well as classic Bialettis.
Bar Caffettiera stands out as a compact downtown Italian cafe where authentic Italian coffees, pastries, and snacks are the main draw, with espresso, macchiatos, croissants and bomboloni praised for their quality and a Granita latte noted by many. The atmosphere is lively, warm, and stylish, mixing retro decor with a bustling, welcoming crowd, and the staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. The experience can feel busy and loud at times, with music that may be loud for some, and seating can be tight, especially during peak hours; a no laptops policy is mentioned by some as part of the focus on enjoying the moment. Overall, it is regarded as a standout coffee destination downtown, offering an immersive Italian vibe that makes visitors want to return regularly, sometimes as a preferred morning or mid afternoon stop, with a terrace in good weather.
One of my favorite cafes in this city. They make the absolute best coffees & even the decaf is amazing! Super fun italian coffee bar style with retro vibes. Very unique & non boring for a change in this city. The staff are all super kind in a great mood! Their desserts are to die for! I highly recommend it if you want a unique experience, good mood, & disconnect from your phone & actually talk with humans. Thank you Caffettiera for opening your doors to us!

Don't be fooled by the modern decor, everything about this place is old school & top notch. Not to mention the best coffee bean in Montreal. There's a reason their sandwiches don't have more than 2 or 3 ingredients, they let the quality shine, no need for overpowering sauces or dressings. This is the Italian way. Keep it up!
BEST COFFEE SHOP IN DOWNTOWN. This is the only spot in downtown that has AUTHENTIC pistachio Bombolone. The espresso is sharp, clean & smooth. Perfectly Italian spot. Service is easy & the people behind the bar are always smiling & helpful. They also have an extensive collection of European confectioneries
Bel posto. I ragazzi sono molto simpatico. Davvero gentile. Mi hanno dato anche un bicchiere d'acqua prima Lo café come in italia . Cinque Stelle per me. Raccomandò a tutti che vuole un'autentica esperienza italiana.

I absolutely loved this place! The Studentessa sandwich was amazing. I also loved the espresso, the flavour was very intense. I will come back here next time I am in Montreal.
An exceptional coffee destination! The coffee itself was outstanding, & the food was equally delightful. The staff was incredibly friendly & efficient, creating a cozy cafe atmosphere reminiscent of Italy. A little slice of Italian charm right in this cafe!
A true down to earth cafe that serves unpretentious coffee. Their roast is excellent & the food selection, though limited is always fresh & tasty. Though downtown, the Cafe has a neighborhood vibe where you often see regulars. It is clear that the team cares about quality & that they take pride in the coffee & food. It is always a pleasure to see Luca behind the bar. This is my go to lacs for a quick coffee downtown.
J'y suis entré par pure hasard, en attendant mon rdv pour une manucure à côté... quel endroit magique, le café , les sandwichs, le staff tout est parfait, l'ambiance vraiment sympa , j'y suis retourné après à tous les jours Je n'ai jamais mangé de si bons sandwich.Allez y ... ça vaut le détour.
