Reviews for Avenue G
Reviews often mention
coffee(12) cafe(7) croissant(5) westmount(4) recommend(4) quick(3) latte(3) cheese(3) milk(3)The coffee is ok.My comments are on the terrible state of the washrooms at 10 am this morning. Dirty, smelling of urine ,out of hand paper & overflowing trash cans. The staff obviously didn't prepare the premises for the day. I am hoping that the owner sees this review & takes appropriate action & speaks & instructs his staff as to how a place of business should present to the public.
Nous avons acheté deux cafés, un croissant aux amandes & un pain épinards & fromage, tout était vraiment délicieux. Le lieu est tranquille & agréable, il semble petit mais en réalité il y a beaucoup de tables à l'intérieur.
After a very pleasant walk through Westmount on an absolutely beautiful summer day my wife & I needed a break so we headed over to a coffee shop named Avenue G which is located on Greene Avenue in Westmount. We ordered two refreshing iced coffees & also an Egg Sandwich on an English Muffin which was perfectly prepared & served by the friendly & helpful staff. This made our pleasant day even more pleasant. What more can I say.
Belle ambiance & bon service, mais le smoothie à la mangue goûtait pas du tout la mangue & juste le curcuma... Décevant
The staff are absolutely lovely, the atmosphere homey & warm, a great neighbourhood spot; all that plus the best quality coffee that doesn't require milk, cream or sugar to make it palatable. If the food only gets 4 stars, that's because I can't eat sugar, flour, etc,
Great Coffee, Great Spicy Grilled Cheese with bacon, Great people, Great Music - just ok not too loud. Relaxing, authentic, genuine.
I went to Avenue G for lunch & it was extremely disappointing. The menu seemed promising. First of all, the service was not good. The place was empty, no one was waiting, yet taking my order took forever & the person didn't know what sandwiches they had. Once I ordered, it took 15 minutes for someone else to just start preparing the sandwich & give it to me. The person decided to toast the tuna wrap I ordered by putting it in the oven. She didn't ask if I wanted it toasted. She then proceeded to almost burn it before giving it to me. It tasted good, but it was hard & crispy & slightly burnt. The portion was also quite small.
