Located in an ancestral home built in 1895 in the heart of Old Sainte-Rose, Restaurant Amato serves authentic Italian cuisine in an intimate setting with warm décor. We are especially proud of our terrace which is known as one of the most beautiful terraces in Laval, or even in Quebec. Ce fut la première fois à ce restaurant & ce fut une très belle soirée. Nous avons très bien mangé. La seule chose il serait bien d'avoir plus de choix pour le vin au verre.
Bonjour après réflexion & une facture de 280.$ pourboire non inclus pour 3 adultes & 2 enfants (( à noter que nous avions que 2 bières & un verre de vin )) j'aurais apprécié me faire offrir un rabais quelconque pour l'assiette de truite que mon petit-fils n'a pas aimé à cause de la sauce trop goûteuse.

Première visite à ce resto. Nous étions des habitués du Négroni. Salade césar pour 2 en entrée, préparée à la table, correct mais ordinaire. j'aurais souhaité des copeaux de parmesan frais. Escalope de veau avec sauce au porto absolument délicieuse, tranche de porto savoureuse mais déception, nous avions demandé des pâtes en accompagnement, nous avons reçu les légumes, le jeune serveur (qui n'était pas celui qui avait pris notre commande), nous a dit qu'il allait nous en commander une portion à part. Nous avons eu droit à chacun, 2 bouchés de pâte, ce qui fut très décevant car pour nous, les pâtes, c'est un must dans un resto italien. Service plutôt froid & facture très salée. Belle terrasse mais pas extraordinaire. Pour le même argent, j'irais ailleurs pour un plus beau décor & un service plus chaleureux. Enfin, nous nous attendions à une bonne facture mais à ce prix, on s'attend à plus d'attention, je me suis servie mon vin moi-même. Visite périlleuse aux toilettes, c'est une vieille maison, toilettes au sous-sol & escalier à pic, pas pratique avec les talons hauts
Wow! Beautifully cosy restaurant but the food was the best I've tasted in a long time! I had the veal scallopine & my girlfriend had pasta (Romanoff)...I wanted to eat both by myself. I'm disappointed that I didn't discover this restaurant sooner (& it's just about 3 km from my house). Will definitely go back sooner rather than later. & their wine list isn't to shabby either...long list varying from about $60 to $5000...but the price of the meal is very reasonable considering how good it tastes!
La terrasse du restaurant est calme. Les arbres, les plantes, & les fleurs créent un atmosphère de détente. Service impeccable. La cuisine est très bonne. La carte des vins épatante. Un très bon restaurant dans la région.
Third visit to Amato & it's always excellent. The service is wonderful & the food amazing. Love the risotto entrée with truffles. Their pasta & meats are very very good. Very extensive wine list. & the most beautiful terrace in Ste-Rose. Lovely. I highly recommend
