Allô mon Coco comes across in reviews as a lively brunch and breakfast spot with a wide variety of hearty dishes, from five egg omelettes and eggs Benedict to crepes, pancakes and fresh juices, with large portions that often fill the plate and invite sharing or take away. The food is consistently praised for quality and flavor, with favorite items like crispy potatoes, smoked meat omelette and indulgent sweet crepes noted as standouts. The beverage program earns praise too, with refillable coffee, fresh orange juice and smoothies delivering a strong start to the day. Service is repeatedly highlighted as friendly, attentive and efficient, and the atmosphere is described as cozy, family friendly and clean, sometimes bright and modern, other times a bit busier depending on seating. While a few notes mention crowded tables or a strong aroma in certain locations, the overall impression is a reliable go-to for a satisfying brunch with generous portions, good value and solid hospitality.
There's is barely any vegetarian option, even the fruity breakfast has bacon fat in the potatoes & you can't replace the bacon for anything other than meat... if you're vegan, forget it, the only option is the only options are the fruit platter & the plain bagel (which I'm not sure if there's eggs & honey in it & it's also served with the potatoes...)
I was a bit surprised by the ambiance as I was comparing it to the other location near Uqam. The tables were a bit crammed together, so I would definitely wait for a booth if you are wanting more of an intimate experience. The food was not on par with the other location, but was still enjoyable. The service was attentive & friendly.
We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning between 11-12 pm. I had the Special Allo Mon Coco. Wife had the Eggs Benedict Rockyfeller. We loved our meals. Surprisingly, did not wait too long to get seated. Place was packed. Very nice & reasonably priced breakfast spot.
4 experiences & each time was worse than before. Worst breakfast ever. The coffee was cold, & the cubed fried potatoes were neither fresh nor properly cooked-they were burnt.
Great for chain restaurant had the smoked meat poutine for breakfast. Others pictured is the classic & brunch crunch poutine. Added an egg for extra. Photo doesn't do the justice. Large portion in line with price point.
I generally love this brunch place but the one in Plateau. I thought food quality would be same but it was not. I ordered fried chicken waffle with poached eggs. The waffle wasnt good. The potato cubes served with the main dish were not fresh. The coffee wasnt good too. I have been ordering the same dish at Allo mon coco for three years, & I love it but it was the same at this branch. Also seating area wasnt clean & table was wobbly.
We were staying reasonably close at Concordia while attending the F1 Race & we found Allo Mon Coco for breakfast one morning. We came back every day for a helping of the Montreal Smoked Meat Breakfast breakfast platter. So Delicious.
Workers & owners of this great restaurant, please take into account that your rating could be better. The amount of times I've been coming back sometimes it is always the same bad habit of your very polite servers but less-detailed & undivided attention to me as a customer who is properly asked "what would you like for a drink" I will recieve my order right away as soon as the server runs away to grab my beverage WITHOUT asking me, "would you like anything else?" Because what happens is that the confusion between us two will be I am ready place my order as well but the servers would not know & automatically assume I will need time without knowing or asking I might want something on the side… & THEN disappears for 10 mins even during the time I will enjoy my drink as it is served. Communication with the servers & waiters needs to be better, not just timing. Meal was great nonetheless. Just would like to be frequently asked, "can I get you anything else?" Would be common courtesy & a mandatory service…

I really enjoyed the slight diner aesthetic of this restaurant. The service was swift & great, & the food was scrumptious. I liked the presentation of the food a lot. Very clean & organized. The dishes I had were more than worth their prices. I'm actually quite saddened I don't have an Allô mon Coco in my Ontarian city, haha.
Through years, Allô mon coco remains definetly one of my favorites for early morning breakfast. That day I totaly enjoyed the fact that now they offer the Pistachio coffee
This restaurant is Ah-Mazing! The food was delicious! Huge portions & fabulous presentation! The staff were very friendly & courteous! My family & I will definitely be back!
Allo Mon Coco I personally really like the Allo Mon Coco in Ottawa, this one seemed a bit different & old feeling, staff were great & food was awesome as always. I will be back when staying in downtown Montreal. Thanks for having me.
