Environ is clean & simple, professional. Service sometimes lacks attentiveness but is kind & welcoming. Reasonable prices for the quality & location. I make it a point to eat here when visiting - very enjoyable.
Excellent food quality, nice variety, impeccable service, & nice upscale ambiance.

This is our go-to sushi place on the west island. Always decent quality for the price. I am not going to say it is the best nor are some of the more exotic preparations the tastiest, but it is fresh & not overpriced with pleasant service. The table d'hôte meals are reasonably priced & satisfying.

The sushi was not of the same quality & freshness as in the past visits. Was extremely disappointed with my visit for the price I paid

I ordered the sushi sashimi combo from the lunch menue. Surprisingly good quality of fish.
We have visited Aikawa many times over the years when it was located in the back end of a strip mall on Brunswick & now finally had a chance to try them in their (relatively) new digs in the Galeries des Source mall, with a huge sign facing the highway. The resto is quite large following an'L' shaped pattern with a long sushi bar at the entrance & a large number of tables on the side & to the back, including a large private room at the back. A nice touch is the tv screen showing examples of their specialty sushi maki rolls...certainly helped us to make our decisions. For food, we had Miso Soup (a classic...no issues) & the Green Salad (OK...the dressing was not mixed into the leaves enough), as well as Edamame to start. For our mains, Chicken Teriyaki (served on a sizzling skillet...very good although the portion size has reduced over the years), & a large sushi plate (Hamachi, Magura & Sake...all very fresh fish, definitely not from frozen...& all very good), The West Island, Spicy Salmon & Twister...which also were very good. All in all, I was very happy with the sushi quality & presentation. The only (nominal) downside is the ambiance of the restaurant. While the décor is very nice it seems a bit sterile or at least lacks a measure of warmth. Not sure why, just a sense we had but that did not take away from either the food or the service. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!
I recently dined at this restaurant & had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The ambiance was inviting, the service provided by the staff, particularly Renee, was exceptional, she was AMAZING indeed 💕👌 & the culinary offerings were nothing short of impressive. From appetizers to dessert, each dish was expertly prepared with a delightful burst of flavors. The extensive menu catered to a variety of preferences, & the presentation was top-notch. The attention to detail in both the decor & the cuisine showcased a commitment to quality. Moreover, the barman, David, skillfully crafted drinks that complemented the overall dining experience. The staff's attentiveness & genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch, making the visit memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful culinary journey. It's a place where every aspect, from service to cuisine, is meticulously curated for a fantastic dining adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here & look forward to returning.

New location lacks the level of ambience that the old location had. Very ordinary. It takes away from the high quality of food. It was an experience before. Not you go just for the food & put up with the ambience.
Service was good but in our case it would have been better to serve us more platters at the same time. That way, we would have all been eating together as a group.

THE best sushi in the West Island. We have been going there for years & the quality of the food & the service are always great

Aikawa is by far the best sushi restaurant we have experienced. We love the ambience of the restaurant. The new restaurant feels more intimate & although it was very busy the evening we were there, the design allows for easy conversation. The staff are always professional, polite & welcoming. The quality of the food is unsurpassed. It is our go to restaurant for special occasions.
