Discover 40 Westt, in Montreal’s West Island. Located Minutes from the airport and in close proximity to the downtown core, our establishment offers the finest CANADIAN Prime beef on the market. We dry age the beef in our own meat lockers for a period of 28-35 days, on display for all of our guests to see. 40 Westt also offers great martinis, an affordable lunch table d’hote, as well as impressive jazz performances on the weekends. Whether you’re looking for the best steak around, fresh shucked oysters, sinful desserts and/or an evening of entertainment, 40 Westt has all of the ingredients for an unforgettable experience.

I'd really like to be sharing an amazing review of this restaurant as its reputation dictates, but my experience last Saturday at my friend's birthday was less than satisfactory.
Main points… very slow service & the cooking /temperature of my filet mignon was very disappointing (close to well done rather than medium rare).
It looked beige, overcooked & unappealing on a huge plate with nothing else around it.
If it wasn't 11pm, & if I wasn't starving at that time (rsvp was at 7:30), & if it wasn't a birthday dinner, it would've been sent back immediately.
Also, after speaking with my friends at the table, it seemed all the orders were screwed up- the birthday girl ordered a rare steak & got it very well done, next to me ordered medium well & got medium rare.
This is such a nice restaurant & these days everything is so expensive & it turned out to be very disappointing to have this experience. I'm not sure if I'd want to revisit this experience.

My husband & I went to 40 Westt last night (my husband's first time & my first time back in about 10 years) & we both agree it was easily one of the best dates nights/dinners we've had in a long time. I want to give special attention to our server, Ethan. He was so kind, so engaging & very knowledgeable about, well about everything. Our wine & steaks were delicious & the vibes in the bar side were impeccable. The band was incredible & really set the tone for the evening! No wonder 40 Westt has been around as long as it has, they're doing everything right.

My husband & I love this restaurant! Never disappointed! The service is 5 stars! We get served by older man (no offense to anyone younger or any woman) who show their experience in this job & their impeccable service. Food is excellent & deliciously prepared. You have to try the chocolate souffle! What a mouth explosion you will have! I can only say good things about 40 West!!

Beaucoup d'autres steakhouse vous offrant du boeuf vieilli aussi, avec plus de saveur incluant des accompagnements dans l'assiette & beaucoup moins couteux.... & c'est sans parlé du service. Oufff. C'était ma 1ère & dernière visite à ce restaurant. Grosse déception pour ma part.

I recently organized & celebrated a milestone birthday for my husband & sister in law yesterday at 40 Westt. The entire experience made me feel like I was in good hands. Everything from the planning with Nia & Anthony of the private room & menu to the food & the service with our amazing waiters Michael & Ethan to the greeting at our arrival & the atmosphere made every person in our group feel like VIP's. My family has booked several major events as well as dined casually at your restaurant, & after last night we will most definitely continue to do so. I highly recommend.
