We dry age the beef in our own meat lockers for a period of 28-35 days, on display for all of our guests to see. 40 Westt also offers great martinis, an affordable lunch table d’hote, as well as impressive jazz performances on the weekends. 2nd Private room with 60 seats, ideal for any type of occasion.
The entire restaurant can be reserved on Sundays for a private party for a group of 80 people or more.

Typical high-end steakhouse... very expensive! The place is showing its age, the food ok & the service acceptable. The wine recommendation was ok at best.

I use to come here exclusively for their incredible prime-rib but unfortunately now they only do "roast beef" & only Saturdays. I was offered rare & served well-done... The king crab was pretty good but some legs had a distinct "fishy" taste like it had been sitting in a freezer for a little too long... Cappuccino was amazing. Service was very accomodating & generally amazing. I really hope to see this place return to it's former glory!
Nous sommes très déçus. Beaucoup trop cher pour la nourriture. Les huîtres étaient pas fraîches & de basse qualité. Le steak était ok. Les frites étaient grasses, les choux de Bruxelles pas assez cuits. Plusieurs serveurs avaient des vêtements tachés & brisés. Le décor est à revoir mais surtout la qualité de la nourriture.... Même les fruits de mer ne goûtait pas grand chose & ça coûte les yeux de la tête! Pour un bon steak house allez au Moishe's ou au Gibbys oubliez le 40westt ....
Honnêtement, j'ai été grandement surpris du service & de la qualité des aliments. Je recommande fortement, étant donné que toutes étaient parfait & j'ai vraiment hâte de retourner vivre cette merveilleuse expérience culinaire avec de bons amis. Je vous lève mon chapeau . Merci infiniment 🙏😃
I went there with my wife for our 5 year anniversary. The food was amazing, properly cooked & our waitress Ariana was great. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for surf & turf.
Auparavant, le 40west est l'un de mes restaurants preferes. J'avais meme fait un super bon review il y a quelques annees... Je trouve cependant que depuis la covid, les choses ont beaucoup changées... Les toilettes étaient défectueuses & il y avait deux pouces d'eau parterre j'ai tout mouillé mes pantalons.. Sans parler des toiles d'araignées & des toilettes qui n'avaient clairement pas été nettoyées depuis longtemps (voir photos).. Je suis tres decue.. La nourriture c'est'bon' mais moins qu'auparavant... Le service est un peu mal organisé..
It felt as if the staff was in a rehearsal for a theater performance. Food is good, service is good but it is way too expensive. The filet mignon looked very lonely on a huge plate.
Was always curious about this place & finally decided to give it a try! We went on a Saturday evening in May. The venue is beautiful, the service was excellent & the food was average & overpriced in my opinion. Glad I tried it but will most likely not be going back!

They burned a wonderful steak, could only taste the burnt part & not the steak, even though it was cooked to my request of medium rare, the outside was charcoal
This was to die for- a great way to end the trip in Montreal! Seafood was fresh! But the star was definitely the filet mignon - juicy & cooked to perfection! Ariana was also super friendly! Thanks for everything!
Absolutely outstanding! This place deserves a 10 star ⭐️ rating. I'm from Toronto & was in town for Mother's Day visiting family. We had the Mother's Day prefixed lunch menu & OMG fantastic. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with smiles. The service was perfection & the food was even better. I'm still dreaming about the chocolate soufflé. Counting down the days u til I go back to Montreal so I can go back to this place. Thank you to all the staff at 40 westt for making such a memorable experience. :)
Nourriture excellente & service très professionnel. Mention toute spéciale à Stephani notre serveuse pour son excellent service & & l'attention qu'elle a portée au moindre détail. Elle a sue faire de ce souper une soirée mémorable. Encore une fois bravo.
