Dishes like fajitas, chimichangas, tacos and quesadillas are described as flavorful and well prepared, the prices are affordable, and the terrace is a plus, while a few visits note it can get busy and service may be slower during peak hours.
We literally go to 3 Amigos every time we're in Montreal 😄 It's become a tradition at this point. Their linguini avocado pasta is CRAZY good! 😋 Like not what you'd expect from a Mexican spot, but somehow it's one of the best things on the menu. Always a fun, casual vibe & consistently delicious food! Definitely recommend it 👌

If you're looking for reliable Mexican comfort food in the heart of downtown, 3 Amigos remains a staple. We dropped in on a Wednesday evening & were thoroughly impressed by the value & efficiency, making it an ideal choice for a pre-show meal.
The Atmosphere & Service:
Despite it being a mid-week night, the vibe was lively. We were heading to a show & were quite conscious of the time, but the service was impressively quick. The staff was attentive & ensured we weren't rushing through our meal while still getting us out the door on schedule.
The Food & Drink:
• Margaritas: We started with the house margaritas, which were served in their signature'Sol' glassware. They were perfectly balanced-refreshing, tangy, & not overly sweet. The salted rim & lime garnish were the classic touch needed to kick off the night.
• Tacos: I opted for the classic tacos, while my friend had the shrimp fajitas. Both were delicious & hit the spot. The shells were crisp, the fillings were well-seasoned, & they came served with a generous side of Mexican rice, refried beans, & a fresh salad.
• The Experience: The portions are hearty, & the presentation is exactly what you want from a casual Mexican spot-vibrant & satisfying.
The Verdict:
The standout feature here is undoubtedly the unbeatable price. Finding a sit-down meal in Centre-Ville that is this tasty & affordable is a rarity.
Highlights:
• Value: A price point that is hard to beat in downtown Montréal.
• Speed: Ideal for diners on a schedule or heading to the nearby theaters.
• Quality: Consistently good comfort food & excellent cocktails.
Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a quick bite before a concert, 3 Amigos delivers on its promise of great food without breaking the bank. Definitely a'must' for a budget-friendly night out!
I was unfortunately served a dish that wasn't warm. Since it was my first time trying Mexican food, I assumed that was how it was supposed to be. But later, when I looked it up, I realized the dish should have been served hot.
Other than that, everything else was excellent-the service, the vibe of the restaurant, & the flavors were all great.
Used to have way better tasting food, now it's very bland, they are nowhere near what athletic Mexican food are known for. The food isn't fresh, & the flavors are lacking spices. That being said, this is a convenient spot & has good vibes for a fun night out, but if you're looking for good tasting food, you won't get it.
We went to 3 Amigos in Montreal as a group of five girls yesterday. The food was great - everything came out hot, fresh, & really tasty. The atmosphere was fun & the restaurant itself has a nice vibe.
The only downside was the service from our waiter. He repeatedly called me'sir' even though we were a table of all women. One of my friends politely corrected him, but the interaction afterward felt a bit uncomfortable.
Aside from that moment, the experience was good overall & the food definitely delivered. If the service had been a bit more attentive & respectful, it would have been a perfect visit.

Great food & an amazing ambience! I went on Valentine's Day & the service was excellent despite it being busy. I had the enchiladas & a margarita both were really good. The music set the perfect vibe, & they even had two fantastic dancers entertaining the guests, which made the whole experience even more fun. Highly recommend!
Im sure everybody knows but Three Amigos is definitely not the spot to try authentic Mexican cuisine. For the price you can most definitely go to Jean-Talon & get much better food. On the bright side, you can reserve big groups people, which many restaurants don't offer or ask for a fee. The vibe is always fun & lively too. I got the birria tacos & a peach mojito. Birria tacos were okay, although I don't know why the broth portion was so little. & the peach mojito was a little overpriced but tasted good!
This place needs more 5 star reviews. I have tried almost everything on the menu & I go all the time, which just shows how amazing it is. I would genuinely give 5 stars to every meal I've tried here so far & the food is so inexpensive too for AMAZING quality!!! I also love the drinks (I usually get the strawberry mango virgin daiquiri or Pina colada) & the desserts (I've tried every single one on the menu). The service is always incredible here & the servers really make sure you have a great time. I have gone for my birthday 3 times in a row for my 18th, 19th, & 20th birthday & it's always such a fun vibe- so much so that I unintentionally started a trend in my friend group of going to 3 Amigos for a birthday. Words cannot express how incredible 3 Amigos is (I usually go to the one on Sainte-Catherine but I love the one near Berri-UQAM as well). Probably going back very soon! ;)
Great spot for some tasty Mexican food with a vibrant atmosphere! The tacos were fresh & nicely presented, with a good mix of fillings & toppings. The rice on the side was flavorful & went well with the dish, though it could have been a touch warmer. The salad was fresh & crisp, though a bit more seasoning would have elevated it.
The drinks were the highlight - beautifully served, refreshing, & packed with flavor. The mango drink was rich & smooth, while the creamy white cocktail had just the right sweetness with a tropical touch.
The service was friendly, & the place had a lively vibe with fun décor, making it a nice place to relax & enjoy. Overall, a great experience - just a few small details away from being a solid 5-star!

I went to 3 Amigos Montreal to celebrate my birthday, & it was such a fun experience! The atmosphere was lively & welcoming, perfect for a special occasion. The staff were very friendly & attentive, making sure everything went smoothly & even adding to the celebration vibe.
The food was delicious - fresh, flavorful, & served in generous portions. I especially enjoyed the Quesadilla & Chimichanga. The drinks were also great & added to the festive mood.
Overall, it was a memorable evening, & I'd definitely recommend 3 Amigos if you're looking for a vibrant spot in Montreal to enjoy good food, drinks, & celebrations.
I recently visited 3 Amigos & really enjoyed the food & the overall vibe - both were great & made for a fun night out.
However, I was quite disappointed with how our server handled the payment process. Up until that point, everything was going smoothly. But when it came to tipping, things took an uncomfortable turn. I had no intention of skipping the tip - I simply wanted to choose a different amount & add it manually, rather than using the preset percentage options.
Instead of respecting that, the server cancelled our transaction & insisted on a minimum 15% tip. He did not allow us to proceed with payment until we complied. Eventually, I ended up paying in cash, at which point he accepted it & let us pay.
I don't believe tipping should ever be forced. It felt like greedy behavior & left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise good experience. Hospitality should never include pressuring guests, especially when they're already willing to tip. I hope management addresses this so others don't have a similar experience
A busy restaurant with a cool vibe, but patience is necessary when waiting for a table. While the food had really good flavour, everything came out cold so it made it less enjoyable. Sam was our server & busted his butt serving the masses. The owner & floor manager were definitely not in sync & that left staff & patrons frustrated. It also left a sour taste in our mouths when they seated a party of 7 ahead of our party of 4. When we asked why they were seated ahead of us, the owner said'because they're a party of 7'... we should have left at that point. Lesson learned. Dine at your own risk.
Had dinner at 3 Amigos with a couple of friends & really enjoyed it. The Chimichanga was super tasty & hit the spot. We also tried the Canela Night's drink - such a cool mix of red wine, cinnamon schnapps, pineapple, orange juice, & mango. Sounds wild but it totally worked! The vibe was great & the service was friendly. Would definitely come back.

Liked music & really enjoyed the happiness vibe of the dancers. Disappointed with waiter who barely smiled at us, served persons from his ethnic origin first - even though we had arrived first, & we were only 2 people, while they were 4. Waiters garnished drinks with no regard for hygiene- hands would go from handling money/ cards/ picking up tables & fallen floor scraps to dressing cocktails by fishing through condiments like limes & dried fruit. Never again.
We were in Montreal for four days & tried many restaurants on Saint Catherine St. this is one of the best restaurants you can go to. food choices are awesome. Prices are less vibe is awesome. we tried chicken tacos & had some drinks. The tacos were great. Their drinks menu was great as well. They have good desserts menu as well. How many If you are in Montreal & staying by Saint Catherine street, this restaurant is definitely a try.
Best cocktail drinks! Food is always tasty! Service is always friendly. Nice place to go with the family or friends to chill. Nice vibes with music playing. The shrimp soft tacos & chicken wings are to die for, sooo good!
