3 Amigos offers a lively, welcoming Mexican dining experience with generous portions and a wide menu of food and drinks, backed by consistently friendly and attentive service, tasty margaritas, chips and salsa, and a festive atmosphere that makes it a go-to spot for gatherings; reviews highlight flavorful, fresh dishes and good value, though some visits note busy times, occasional slower service, and a few items that could be more consistent, balanced by overall satisfaction and a clear willingness to return.
Fun & festive atmosphere with tasty margaritas, savory guacamole, crunchy tortilla chips, & satisfying enchiladas. Patience needed during busy times. Understanding management who kindly helped us with a food allergy fix. Popular & reasonably priced. Reservations recommended during peak times.

The manager was demanding of staff & customers & the meal had a vibe that wasn't very welcoming. They took away our chips instead of refilling them. No refill offer for drinks. They tried to clear our tortillas before we even got our food. The bathrooms were scary. People vote with their feet, & this place at peak hours was not busy for a reason.
Not my favourite 3 Amigos location but a good experience overall all. Similar to other locations in the sense that the service was friendly & attentive & the drinks were delicious & very generous, the food was standard but very good for the type of restaurant that it is (a chain type Tex-Mex restaurant with a lot of choices on the menu, large portions & full plates served with rice, beans & salad.)A fun little plus is that they bring complimentary chips & salsa to your table when you arrive to snack on while you make your selection & wait for your food. The food comes out fairly quickly even when the restaurant is very busy. I love 3 Amigos generally although this location doesn't feel as'immersive' in terms of the ambiance. You have to pay for parking but there is a large parking garage literally right next to the restaurant so it's easy to park near by. The overall experience is good & the drinks are really are amazing. I prefer the Sainte-Catherine location over this one for the slightly better ambiance but this one is still a great place to go if you're in old Montreal & craving standard Tex-Mex.
Service was extremely slow & the restaurant wasn't busy. It took over one hour from when we entered the restaurant, until our food was served. Our server was pleasant enough, so the challenge may have been with the kitchen. However, no apology was made about the slowness of the service.

Went for a nighttime meal after a long drive to Montreal. This is a fun spot to go to with a bigger group of people, but too loud to go with your middle-aged parents. The servers were sweet & quick given how the busy the restaurant was. The food was good, but if you're looking for a more authentic Mexican cuisine I would recommend going elsewhere. Overall, the prices are reasonable & is well suited for going out with friends.
The food was top notch, service was really good & the environment was okay.I guess it was a sunday night.& it was a quiet night at the time I came. It must be hopping in there on a busy night.
3 Amigos in Old Montreal delivers a lively & vibrant atmosphere, making it a great spot for a fun night out. The decor is colorful & energetic, perfect for enjoying a casual dinner with friends. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow when the restaurant is busy, which can impact the overall experience.

We began with complimentary chips & salsa. The chips were fresh & crunchy, but the salsa lacked flavor & could have benefited from more seasoning & spice to elevate the dish.
For drinks, I had the Mambo Mojito ($11.95), which was refreshing & perfectly balanced, with a great mix of pomegranate, mango, & mint. My friend went with the Don Julio Margarita ($15.95), which was strong & smooth-ideal for those who enjoy a potent margarita with a bit of bite.
For the main course, we ordered the Smash Burger (double beef patty, lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, cheese, Ancho Chile aioli, served with fries). While decent, the burger didn't wow us. It could have used more sauce or some jalapenos for extra flavor. We also tried the Shrimp & Steak Fajitas, which, unfortunately, were not as flavorful as expected. To make matters worse, the waiter forgot to bring the tortillas, so by the time they arrived, the fajitas had cooled down. Although the waiter apologized multiple times for the oversight, the issue was compounded when dessert was offered as compensation, but we were still charged for the churros.
We ordered Churros with Nutella for dessert ($6.96), which were tasty but didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. They were a nice touch, but the experience left us feeling that the overall meal could have been more consistent.
Overall, 3 Amigos offers a lively, fun experience with excellent drinks & a few solid dishes, but it falls short in food consistency & service. The mistakes with the fajitas & the unaddressed issue of the dessert charge left something to be desired. It's a good spot for a casual meal, but there's definitely room for improvement in both food quality & service efficiency.
The margarita was one of the worst I've ever had. It was warm & I had to ask for ice. I got tortilla soup & it was pretty good. The chips seem like they were from a bag & not freshly made. I was there at dinner hour, & it was not busy at all, which would imply that others feel the same way about the food. It was convenient to my hotel where I was staying.

During our week-long visit to Montreal we ate here twice. My husband loved both his meals. I really enjoyed the nachos, I also had the steak fajitas. I should have gotten the chicken. It wasn't my favorite. More cheese & lettuce on the side would have been nice. I didn't ask for more so that's on me, but I'm not sure if I would have been charged for it. The service is fantastic. Everyone who works there was really friendly & accommodating. We got our second meal to go on a busy night & it was hot & delicious by the time we got back to our hotel. I would recommend a visit.
