T'ami Restaurant is located in Little Italy on Saint-Laurent Boulevard and opened it's doors in 2022. You can find both traditional dishes as well as discover new creative dishes since they serve authentic Vietnamese cuisine and fusion cuisine.
The owner Thuy Tam Le is originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, and immigrated to Canada 5 years ago. She is a journalist by profession and has always enjoyed meeting people to learn about their stories and share her culture. When she arrived in Montreal, she wanted to merge this with her love for the food of her country. She travelled extensively throughout Vietnam to learn about the different cuisines and dishes so she can reproduce them here in Montreal. What started with gourmet evenings with her friends turned into a need to share it with Montrealers and she did so by opening the restaurant T'ami.
She opened her restaurant in 2022 and named it T'ami which also means heart and love in Vietnamese. Don't be surprised to see the owner walking around the restaurant and socializing with you, she loves to learn everyone's stories.
On the menu, there are familiar dishes such as tonkinoise soup (pho), fried rice, stir-fried dishes, general tao chicken, grilled meat, crispy noodles, pad Thai, and desserts.
What distinguishes T'Ami from other Vietnamese restaurants in Montreal are the dishes from different parts of Vietnam. We describe some of them here to make your mouth water.
