Boulangerie St-Méthode Presents Le Protéiné - Event

Event Details

Event Description

A tasting tour will stop in Montreal on September 4th and th5 to introduce Boulangerie St-Méthode's new protein-rich bread.

To give the public a chance to try Le Protéiné Ancient Grains Loaf, Boulangerie St-Méthode will be hitting the road with its tasting truck throughout the back-to-school season. The tour kicks off at Montreal's Olympic Park on September 4th and 5th as part of Les Premiers Vendredis, before making stops at several other locations in the region.

A New Bread to Discover

Available in Quebec supermarkets since August 25th, Le Protéiné Ancient Grains Loaf was developed as an entirely new bread rather than simply adding protein to an existing recipe.

The loaf combines sprouted oats, sprouted barley, sprouted rye and whole buckwheat, all grown in Quebec. The grains give the bread roasted cereal, malt and hazelnut notes, along with a soft texture and subtle crunchy contrasts.

Fava bean protein is also added to the recipe.

A Nutrient-Rich Profile

A two-slice serving, or 86g, provides 15g of protein and 5g of fibre, along with 14 essential nutrients. The recipe contains no added fat or sugar and has a reduced sodium content of 270mg per serving.

The bread is certified by Grains du Québec and Aliments préparés au Québec, is made without genetically modified ingredients and meets Diabetes Canada's criteria.
