Friendly and great food!
Nice service, nice environment. Food is 'as expected' (lamb-chops were a bit chewy).
Loved it, the food was excellent and the ambience was comfortable
Restaurant Yas is one of my very favourite restaurants in Montreal. The only things better than the food are the service and decor. The restaurant is very charming, it has the appeal of a wine cellar - earth-tone brick, stone and tile. About 3m from the entrance is a depanneur where you can buy beer and wine to enjoy with your meal. All the usual soft drinks are available at Yas, as well as excellent coffee and tea. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They have quite a good selection of tasty Persian food. If you enjoy desserts they have a good selection, although I've never made it further on the menu than the baklava, which is excellent. I recommend trying Restaurant Yas; street parking is available, or use Metro Vendome.
Nice people and great food!
Really tasty food. Pleasant service.
Awesome Food - best Iranian food in Montreal! Barg Kabab is to die for!
Cozy and chic decor
Lovely host - Farideh
Saffron Ice cream is from out of this world!
Very nice restaurant. It was a quiet evening and we were very well treated - our server checked before have our meal cooked a la minute - the meat was perfectly prepared and everything was delicious. It's a great place to spend an evening with good friends.
A bit pricey however, the dishes, including the entree merited the cost.
Everything was excellent, including the service.
Both mains of lamb and fillet were delicious !
Will absolutely return.
Un repas délicieux!!!
Excellent service et nourriture! Le resto est très beau à l'intérieur. Bel ambiance tranquille pour jaser.
If you have online reservation do not go there!!!! they even don't know that they have website!!
Every plate was unique. The waiters go out of their way to please . Ambiance is very comfortable. Cannot say enough good about this place
Très belle expérience pour découvrir la cuisine perse.
service excellent et ambiance chaleureuse, nous y retournons sans hésiter et nous le recommandons vivement surtout avec ses prix sont très abordables.
This restaurant/experience was simply amazing. The outside does not look very appealing, but DO NOT think twice about it! Once inside, you'll see a very nice and clean looking restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and answered all our questions about Persian food very attentively. The ambiance was really nice. I brought my date here and she loved it. There wasn't too many people around so it was very quiet to converse, and the Persian music was very lovely background. We had their homemade bread which was very light, with two dipping sauces. We ordered the eggplant/onion which was very tasty. My gf had vegetarian shish kebab with rice and I had chicken with barberry. They were both excellent, super hot, and delicious. The portions were perfect so that you were filled. The chicken was very well cooked, but still soft and juicy. We ended with a tea. Service was excellent, food came promptly and was very well presented. We were very impressed and will be definitely be returning. In general, the food was very healthy which was also a plus for us!
Dined here for my third time recently, and as in the previous occasions,
Yas did not disappoint. I preface the herein review by admitting that I'm partial to Persian cuisine: the freshness, spices, tastes and complexities of the cuisine appeal to me. More particular to Yas, the Must-o-khiar and must-o-mussir are tasty, and while the hummus does not compare to those of the Lebanese variant, the mirza ghasemi is one of the better of such plates I've eaten locally. The chicken dishes were of good quality and appetizingly presented, and the pricing was fair in comparison to other Persian fine dining establishments.
The restaurant is quaint, if close-quartered, and makes for a romantic evening. Service is friendly, professional and prompt. All-in-all, an enjoyable, exotic experience.
