Bem-vindos a Viana! Antonio & Celeste Da Costa from a small village in Northern Portugal, were inspired by the idea of crossing the ocean to create a better life for themselves and their children. They immigrated to Canada in 1978 and settled in Lasalle borough in the early 1980s. In 1984 their son, Carlos Costa began working at one of Montreal's finest landmarks, Jano Grillades. He worked there for close to 30 years and acquired deeply rooted knowledge of Portuguese cuisine. Carlos and his son Fabio shared a passion for hard work and the food service industry. Along with the help and support of his wife Ines and daughter Vanessa, they decided as a family that they would embark on a passion project which would allow them to fulfill a lifelong dream. As proud Luso-Canadians, Fabio and Vanessa were inspired by their father's hometown Viana do Castelo, where they vacationed every summer. Viana is an homage to their heritage, and a place where they are able to share and multiply the love they have for their culture. Obrigado!

Best Portuguese chicken I have ever tasted! The only downfall is the change in the salad dressing. I preferred the original one, however, the new one is also good. Great service & affordable prices! Recommend 100%!

J'ai trouvé ce restaurant par hasard sur internet en cherchant un restaurant portugais. Je viens de la rive -sud de Montréal & le 30 minutes de route en vaut la peine. Nous allons assurément revenir :0)
Overpowering one note lspice on everything. Small inedible wings loaded with same offensive spice.
Sausage very dry...not tasty.

Dining at Viana with my close friends was an experience that went far beyond a simple meal, it felt like a return trip to Portugal! The food was comforting, vibrant, & clearly prepared with care & respect for Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant had great energy & the staff were incredibly warm & friendly. Totally recommend!
Every time in Lasalle ,our go to spot , always fresh salad , fries off the hook , chicken & ribs to die for ! Takeout is fast & freindly people work there . Always consistent at Viana , which is the key to operating a resto .
A hidden gem! The service was excellent, the food was fresh & absolutely delicious.The atmosphere was just as amazing. Highly recommend & will definitely be coming back!
Deuxième fois ici. Nous étions seuls. Pas d'autres clients. Belle décoration, belles tables. Véritables serviettes en tissu, belle vaisselle, service sympathique & très bonne nourriture! Mais quel bruit!! Entre le système de ventilation qui fait le bruit d'un moteur d'avion & la musique hyper forte que nous avons poliment demandé de baisser (sans succès). Ce n'est malheureusement pas un endroit agréable pour passer un repas en famille. Peut être que ça plaît à certains!
Belle découverte dans ville Lasalle. On cherchait un restaurant différent dans le coin de ville Lasalle pour un repas de soirée. Les commentaires Google nous ont inspiré à visiter ce restaurant. Nous sommes arrivé 1h avant la fermeture.
Le service était très bien. Nous avons commandé en entrée les Pasteis De Bacalhau & le calmar grillé. Les Pasteis De Bacalhau (croquette de morue) étaient bonne mais la texture intérieur est un peu différente de ce que j'ai déjà manger. Le calmar était bon.
Nous avons commandé le Bacalhau A Bras & le sandwich au poulet comme repas principal. Le Bacalhau A Bras était tout simplement un régal. Il y avait des gros morceaux de morue salé. L'équilibre de la morue salée & des pommes de terre était excellent. La portion était généreuse. Un petit salade ou un peu de verdure aurait été agréable mais quand même, le plat était parfait. Le sandwich quand à lui était de portion raisonnable. Souvent, dans les resto portuguais, le sandwich est immense & presque trop gros. Celui là était de bonne portion & avec les frites , ça faisait un repas suffisant. Le poulet était juteux & juste assez épicé.
Nous avons terminé le repas avec des natas qui elle aussi étaient délicieuses.
Le restaurant est dans un petit centre commercial modeste en retrait des grands boulevards. La décoration est jolie & l'ambiance calme. Environ 25 places assises.
