J'ai reservé pour 9:30. Sur le site c'est bien indiqué que si j'arrivais en retard je perdais ma place. Pourtant je suis arrivée à 21:17, cela a pris 1hr afin que j'ai une table. Ensuite à ma table cela a pris 30 minutes afin qu'une serveur vienne me voir, & là encore j'ai du demander si quelqu'un allais venir. La serveuse est arrivée pour me demander simplement :"vous voulez manger quoi"? Vraiment experience desagréable. Personne ne s'est excusé. Surtout quand je confirme que je desire une table & que j'ai reserve, je me fais dire bon il n'y a pas de table de disponible😕, c'est soit le bar car une place venait de se liberer ou que j'attends. Heureusement 10min plus tard une table s'est liberee. Je suis vegetalienne, je commande le bol vegan, très très deçu de mon plat. Honnêtement je suis venue pour supporter la communauté, mais là ce fut décevant. L'attente suite à une reservation, le service à la clientele, franchement c'est malheureux.

The food was amazing! The service wasn't bad but the hostess had a lot of attitude, didn't seemed to want to be there. Waiter was really nice & helpful

Nice but unprofessional staff. We came on a Sunday evening, our food took an hour to be served. A couple of us never got our appetizers, the rest got them a while after we finished the main course. No knives at our table, the waitress did not check to make sure we were ok. She only came to take our orders & again for us to pay, had no idea what we actually received. It felt more like I was at a friends house then being served, which is not a big deal for a cheap menu, but when you're paying 32$ for a single tentacle of octopus (which looks fancy but in reality doesn't cost much) & 28$ for a handful of mediocre jerk chicken, I expect good service.

My only issue is when i sat at the bar, the lights were dysty. Clean the lights over the bar.

pas de service en langue française, portion du repas de pieuvre vraiment petite (égale a une entrée)
le temps de service est long. option de pourboire au paiement est de 19, 22 ou 25%, ce n'est pas acceptable

Portions de nourriture trop petites, assiette de pieuvre a $32 , 1 morceau de pieuvre (3 bouchées. !!!!) Pas de service en français , service lent malgré seulement 20 clients dans le resto.

The food & cocktails were amazing! Highly recommend trying the poutine (it's sweet, tangy & the fried are crispy) topped with the jerk chicken. All the food was amazing & we enjoyed the atmosphere!

Tropikal was one of the best places we tried in Montreal ! We loved the ambiance the drinks were good ..could be a little stronger but we recommend you get the strawberry mojito it really was a breeze of fresh air with a hint of get me ready for the after party (hip/hop /Afro beats )which are on fridays & Saturdays we went on a Saturday now let's get to the food the star of the show was the Rasta pasta , the jerk chicken & the guava wings are a must the jerk was seasoned to a T , the Rasta pasta was a mix up of Haitian , Trinidadian & African flavors all mixed into one you can add meat of your choosing for extra we got the lobster but it's also stands on its own the Mac & cheese was good if you like a milder cheesy pasta dish & don't sleep on the cheesy callalloo dip w/ the plantain chips ! The chef was really cool he touched on his inspirations for the dishes as well as the fact he changes the menu every 6 months which we will be back to check it out for the next menu! It is definitely a vibe our server Danielle is the best & was filled w/ recommendations 2 things 1. get there on Time 2 hr seating only & 2.have the best time !
