The French cuisine restaurant Tandem is located in Verchères on the South Shore of Montreal.

Tandem is the new place on the South Shore where we serve food and drinks! A beautiful open kitchen facing the chef for beautiful gourmet evenings.

A wine list that will perfectly accompany the fine cuisine of Le Tandem, Sophisticated bottles combining the great classics with natural wine! A card that makes us travel and the agreements are finely tied.
Tandem is THE favorite restaurant on the South Shore and people from Montreal don't hesitate to cross bridges to get there. Reservations are strongly recommended.

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary & were not disappointed. From start to finish, an excellent, well thought out meal. All staff (especially our waiter) were always personable & efficient, explaining our options & then explaining each course as presented. We chose the 7 course dinner, with one foie torchon option, & were extremely satisfied with everything served. All ingredients were fresh, tasty & well presented. Portions were more than gererous. Pricing is very reasonable. & the byob policy allowed us to bring the wines we love. Highly recommended. One of the best meals we have had during our one month visit to Montreal.

Excellente gastronomie! Les 5 services étaient très originales & succulents . Bien apprécié que le serveur & cuisinier ont tenus compte de mon intolérance au lactose . Les plats étaient adaptés à mon intolérance au lactose . Merci 😋

Considering the stellar reviews & "best in Montreal" ratings, we went in with very high expectations. Unfortunately, Tandem does not qualify in that category. Nor the food, nor the venue qualify as high end or even memorable. The 9-course meal started with a few very unimpressive plates, & kept improving until the end. But it wasn't enough to wow us & we kept wondering if we were really at the same place that was getting consistent 5-star reviews.
Service was good, but again without being stellar. I believe the employee shortage makes it hard on everyone & while they were being very helpful, they often ran to the next table to make sure everyone had what they needed.
It's nice to see restaurants trying hard to make it in this period of scarcity. But in my opinion, there are other high end restaurants around Montreal that can offer a much higher quality evening at a similar price, even if they're not a BYOW.

Toujours un plaisir, car il faisait un certain temps que nous n'avions pas eu la chance de visiter le restaurant Tandem en raison de la pandémie. Notre choix, la dégustation 7 services avec le foie gras poêlé. Miam, miam! Du début à la fin, toutes les assiettes proposées ont été délicieuses. Nous remercions aussi toute l'équipe pour un service impeccable tout au long de la soirée. À la prochaine :-)

We had the 9 courses dinner. A 7 courses would be better since we don't need the cheese plate nor a 2nd dessert. The main dish (venison) was almost the size of a regular entree. The service was very good (Gabriel).
