View more
It was a good experience, but I totally think it was over hyped. The bagel was bland, & had no taste. The sandwiches lacked seasoning, & probably the best thing was the fig & cheese sandwich. I wouldn't try it again. It was good to see it & experience it, but I don't think I would go for it again if I would like a satisfying bite.View more
They have salt bagels! Two kinds: Rosemary & salt & pretzel salt. Only place I've ever seen these in Canada. Rare to find this New York bagel staple..View more
We always get some when we're in the city. We got 5 dozen to go, the guys there were so very helpful, gave us the necessary bags for packing, & gave us the baker's dozen of course. The aroma is intoxicating right when you walk in. 100% recommend when you're in the city!View more
Les meilleurs bagels à Montréal. The best bagels in Montreal!View more
Stopped in around 11 this morning. I was on my own & had luggage, which I was able to store by the coat rack which was nice. They have eat-in or take out, two separate lines. You're shown which table to sit at when you're in line, as it is counter style ordering. I ordered the smoked meat bagel sandwich & added some veggies which were free, to my surprise. Caramel latte was practically perfect. Staff were friendly, energetic, & the owner or general manager was on-site helping with the flow, as it was quite busy. I ordered a six pack of bagels to go after my meal, a mixture of flavours & was given both a paper bag & a plastic bag (appreciated since I am traveling). I even asked for a small sticker on my way out, & the staff were more than willing to give me a few. Would definitely recommend St. Viateur!! The only comment I have is to beware of the hours, as the "kitchen" hours are when they start & stop all sandwiches & meals (6pm).View more
A MTL Classic were you can enjoy the best bagels in Montreal. Love the bagels, love the vibe, easy, fast & delicious. We had the club bagel & the chicken with pesto & was perfect.View more
Don't kill me but I think Montréal bagels are mostly overrated except for this place. Which is honestly not the greatest ratio for a city, but this place still rulesView more
Awesome place for not only bagels, but amazing sandwiches 🚀🚀🚀View more
Drove all the way from Ottawa just to slam a traditional lox. The freshness & flavour can't be understated. The tote bag & bagel merch alone deserves five stars! Merci beaucoup.View more
The bagel sandwiches were delicious! A must visit place in the city. Highly recommended.View more
If you're craving a bagel experience that's like a cream cheese avalanche, this place has you covered! Seriously, the amount of cream cheese on their sandwiches could build a second bagel tower. But hey, if you're into that kind of thing, go for it! Just be prepared to wait longer than it takes to watch a Lord of the Rings marathon. I mean, I'm pretty sure Frodo could've destroyed the One Ring twice in the time it takes to get your order here. On a more serious note, their bagels are fresh, I just didn't appreciate that I got a bitter aftertaste of burnt onion/garlic on my bagel but overall fine!View more
I have to admit that I think of the St. Viateur bagel as the more refined northern cousin of the traditional NYC bagel. It is more delicate; not quite as chewy, & a little bit thinner (so no need for the diet-concious to scoop out the middle. Mine was nicely controlled with sesame seeds. My "traditional had excellent lox & was piled high with tomato slices, onions, capers, & (of course!) wonderful cream cheese.View more
