Our favourite Indian restaurant on the West Island!
Delicious as always!! Can’t go wrong with Sahib
Had a fabulous meal at this restaurant, the food was fresh and delicious! All my friends were very satisfied as well! We will be returning for sure!
Friendly Friday lunch!
Service was very bad and the waiter was too much rude .... very bad experience
Lunch was awesome!
Great food but unfortunately some of the worst delivery service Ive ever experienced. Multiple instances where delivery has been well over an hour late of when it was supposed to arrive.
Good buffet - great value for money
Waiting time for service was rather l-o-n-g.
Menu Choices was plenty and good.
If you're used to Indian food, you will not like this place. The butter chicken was in a tomato sauce , very bland and not at all spicy as requested . The shrimps are not 16-20 as stated... They were tiny and very over-cooked. The lentil dish was very bland as well. We had to add sauce from our fridge to make it better.
The service upon pick-up was terrible.
Never going again.
Extensive menu, excellent food most of it very spicy, prompt, attentive and efficient service. The 10% discount coupon was quickly accepted. Our confirmed reservation for Saturday had mistakenly been put down for Friday. I showed them the printed reservation and we were given a table with apologies. Our table for two was very small with only barely enough table space for the dishes and the chairs were uncomfortable. Overall the dining experience was positive.
I had high expectation and I was a little disappointed. Not because of anything they did, or didn't do.
I was hoping for vegetarian dishes. There was a wonderful variety of dishes. Everything smelled amazing.
The only criticism I have is that everything was too spicy, as in the heat, not the flavours. The heat was a single and slightly camouflaging note across most dishes, except the butter chicken, which tasted beautifully buttery. If you are not a fan of spicy heat, this place isn't for you.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fine.
We went for a late lunch and they were already getting ready for a busy evening with a full house.
I believe the diner menu may be different.
I think this is a place that requires another visit to see if it's different or consistently spicy.
Ordered delivery for two. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and didn't seem to care that I was asking what the vegan options on the menu were. She said that our food would arrive within the hour, and it took two. When we received our food, it was freezing cold and had things we specifically asked to be replaced as it contained dairy. They also did not substitute any of the items we could not eat, so we paid full price for basically rice, roti and cold chick pea soup. Not impressed, I really liked Sahib until tonight. Won't be ordering again.
Great food, restaurant was hopping. We will be back.
The service is terrible. We ordered and when we realized that we had been waiting for an hour, we called to know where our order was at. We were first put on hold and then when we tried to explain the situation we were hung up on! We will not order from this place again that shows so little respect for its customers.
Definitely at the top of my list for Indian food.
Quality is excellent, the lamb was awesome!
Went for supper and it is dimly lit, fairly quiet and the waiter doesn't pester you, so I'd recommend it for a romantic date.
Cost for 3 of us (no alcohol) including tip and taxes was around $80 and we brought leftovers home.
Very satisfied. Will be back!
Really impressed with this place. Clean, could be casual or fancy and food is excellent. Great selection. They have all the Indian staples. I will definitely go back!
I have gone to this restaurant on two occasions for the buffet on sundays first time the food was delicious the service not great but decent enough to not be remarked upon. I put it on my do it again list...second time the food was good but the naan had not been replenished ..the padoras had sat just a lil too long but what really shone was the awful awful service our water did not get refilled at any point, the dishes just sat there for our whole meal we had three plates each so we decided to just stack them up..we were also not the only ones people left and their plates just stayed there ..it was odd because there was alot of waiters and servers around who were not doing much but looking bored. YES they have good food for the most part (although the selection is quite small) but eating out is more than for the food its for the experience and for the price this cost i rather have saved my money gone to many of the other great indian restos in the city.
We are actually eating now at sahib, my bf and i must say the food was good. I liked their dessert gulab jamoon as it was warm and soaked freshly on a sugar syrup! Most of the indian restaurants i tried with my bf.. Their gulab jamoon was cold and i didn't really appreciate it when it's cooked that way. Rice pudding too was nice and my all time favorite buttered chicken is definitely yummy! They prepared it really well even though it is a Sunday buffet like, right now. The fact that this place is packed of people only means the place has something to offer. Good prices, courteous servers. On the downside, the sizes for deliveries are quite small. Nevertheless, food is tasty! Service is appreciated!
