We went for supper & there were parties that evening. We were seated outside the main area which wasn't a problem for us. The dishes were amazing with great'wok hey'! The problem was more when the party inside started & waiters for the not main area were scarce.Voir plus
Went on a Sunday, usually the most busy day for dim sum. Waited 20 for pot of tea, food carts were very few & far between (I had to get up to look for food with the bill), & when I did finish a dish they were accumulating on my table cause there was no one to take them away. I even had to go get my own hot water to refill my tea pot. Also, if you don't believe in shrinkflation, it's hell of a real thing. All & I mean ALL the food is smaller, but prices are higher. & now they charge .50 for a takeaway box. If you're gonna go that far too Chinatown for Chinese food from the suburbs, might as well drive to the west island & go to imperial right off the 40. Red ruby has changed & not for the better.Voir plus
Exceptional customer service & delicious food! Will definitely dine here again.Voir plus
Not impressed . They served us fried squid super hard from the day before I'm sure . I've had better. Order the meal for 2 . Expensive & not that good ... the dimsums are what you are going for ... maybe next time ... but we paid 76$ including tip for 2 people & I was still hungry .... mehhhhVoir plus
My first time was good but not much the second time. There are woman serve you around with their cart. They served very fast while we ate slowly. Somehow, we have to wait so long. Finally, we decided to leave. The food was nice, but the waitress/waitor not around. It s hard to get some help when we need. We were 3 people, paid 35$ but we were not full yet.Voir plus
Been coming here for years for Dim Sum, lunch & supper, price are competitive, large hall, always a table available even at peak time of day.Voir plus
It's not the fanciest - nor the prettiest - but the Dim Sum here is classic & is brought around by fun women pushing carts. A classic in Montreal.Voir plus
Variety of options from steamed to fried cooked. Dim sum & many other options to order from. Priced below par, but quality kept up.🤩Voir plus
We have to stop in for Dim Sum every trip into Montreal. Absolutely our favorite spot in China town!Voir plus
very traditioal dim sum restaurant w/ cart carrying dim sum. Dim sum is large in size & taste so so. I recommend beef inneVoir plus
Third visit to Ruby Rouge & we were a little nervous going in because of the influx of negative reviews. I want to say I have no idea what these reviewers were talking about, we had a lovely time. We did dim sum this time, & the only issue was getting something we didn't order & not getting one thing we tried to order. But that probably just comes down to a miscommunication with multiple language barriers! We didn't love all the food but that's what happens when you try something new. The delicious food was delicious as always, & we tried some new things that we loved! We ordered way too much, though! Leftovers for tomorrow!Voir plus
Taste wise, its mid-decent. The service however is bad. They are always understaffed, making it impossible to ask for something. Often times, they would forget the stuff we asked for, like extra plates or utensils. I get it, its busy. But it doesn't mean they should expect us to understand them & just stay the same. They should hire more workers so that they can manage the customers that they let in.Voir plus
The place to go for Dim Sum in China-town! Great dumplings. Delicious sesame balls! Fun, busy atmosphere. Highly recommend!Voir plus
The place is very clean. Nice. The staff is nice & friendly. The atmosphere is very party & warm. But the food could be better. During an event, they'd bring you meat & seafood about 2-3 times (like pork, beef, lobster) but no rice or vegetables. Rice came almost at the end. The food was too oily. One water bottle cost 10$ which is more expensive than a beer which is $7. I'd give the place 2 stars. I don't recommend itVoir plus
This restaurant's rating is too low. I have NEVER been disappointed with this place. I've ordered like 20 times. Always good, dependable... order never wrong etc... Underrated Chinatown stop.Voir plus
