Truly an unforgettable experience here in a small town St-Donat. I had the duck salad to start & then the wild mushroom risotto. Wow. I indulged & finished the evening with baklava dessert. Thank you to the chef & thank you for this new place we desperately needed here!
L'Odyssée: A Welcome Culinary Addition to St-Donat.
St-Donat finally has the restaurant it's been waiting for. L'Odyssée opened its doors recently, & after our first visit, it's clear this establishment will become a local favorite.
We started our evening with the crème de poireau (leek soup), which set a promising tone for the meal. For our mains, we explored their seafood offerings: the salmon tartare was fresh & expertly prepared, while the grilled salmon was cooked to perfection, showcasing the kitchen's attention to quality & technique.
What makes L'Odyssée particularly exciting is their regularly rotating menu. This commitment to seasonal variety means each visit will offer something new to discover, giving diners a reason to return time & again. The wine list deserves special mention as well-it's impressively curated, offering selections that complement the elevated cuisine.
The restaurant fills a genuine need in St-Donat's dining scene, bringing a level of culinary sophistication the area has been missing. Based on our experience, we're already planning our next visit.

The food was very fresh & delicious.
The black Cod was truly amazing!
The mushroom appetizer & the burrata appetizer were very fresh & tasteful.
The crème brûlée was absolutely perfect!
There is a great attention to details in the preparation & presentation of every plate .

Ce tout nouveau restaurant Odyssée ouvert en août 2025, tenu par son Chef seul aux fourneaux vaut bien le détour. L'ancien resto Ohana n'existe plus. Nous étions cinq copains attablés & tous ont beaucoup aimé leur première expérience à ce resto.
La gaspacho était savoureuse & juste assez relevée. La morue cuite à la perfection tout comme le carré d'agneau, délicieux. L'entrée de champignons du Québec très jolie & savoureuse. La salade de canard, généreuse en portion était aussi très bonne, nous aurions aimé le canard un peu tiède, la suggestion a plu au Chef...le tartare a aussi plu. Le bouillon & la texture du risotto aux champignons bien maitrisés en plus d'une belle portion de champignons nous a aussi beaucoup plu bien qu'on aurait ajouté deux grains de sel pour un plat parfait! Enfin, ce fusion gâteau fromage/ baklava, par son originalité & surtout son goût complète bien ce repas très apprécié. L'ambiance est chaleureuse, propice à ce temps automnal mais on a aussi hâte d'y aller sur la terrasse!
Service au top, mais cuisine pas à la hauteur de ce bel endroit....
Magret de canard demandé saignant, servi rosé, pommes de terres pas cuites, saumon fade.... pour une addition assez élevée. Déçus car nous étions venus il y à quelques années & nous avions bien apprécié.
New ownership, now called ODYSSEE. Excellent. St-Donat needed a place like this. Great fresh local selection of food & super wine selection you cannot find at the SAQ.
J'adooooore ce petit resto dans le village de St-Donat. Je suis dans la région pour le travail & je ne manque pas d'y aller. Le service est excellent, les petits éperlans frits , délicieux & le burger OH ana!!!! Un délice!Les prix sont raisonnables pour la qualité de la nourriture….
