About Us

Where ramen and miso meets
Ever since Japan’s Edo period (1600 to 1867 AC), Miso has been known as a healthy and tasty
condiment and has been beloved for generations.

Miso is made with soybeans, rice (or barley in some cases) and salt by being fermented for a certain
period of time. It originated in China, spread to Japan in the 9th century and became known as Miso paste. In the long history of Japan, Miso has been a sufficient protein source, to enhance rice, soup or as a sauce over vegetable side dishes.

As a fermented food, miso is a great source of probiotics or beneficial bacteria, which increases the
health of your gut and enhances your immune system. Miso is also high in protein, in minerals like
manganese and zinc, and vitamin E, vitamin K, various B vitamins, and folic acid.

i ordered silver broil basic with a piece of tofu in it . i asked what was the difference with the vegetarian one. ? not much of an answer.... after 30 min , i received my soup with an egg instead of a piece of tofu. The guy said no more tofu. Egg is more expensive...( you are lucky ???) I had no time to say anything , as he turned back & went to another table. When i paid, i told him that he should tell me before & ask me what i want before choosing the egg for me. I asked him...& if i would had choosen the evegetarien ones ?? He aswered there would be tofu.....

It was... pretty standard. I was honestly disappointed by the food... it was very... standard. Don't take my word for granted, though. It may be because I like strong flavors, but still, it tasted very bland for me. At the very least, I did not enjoy it that much, but it was definitely not disgusting. For the price, it's decent. It definitely is budget friendly compared to most Ramen places nowadays. My friend, however, seems to enjoy it (as you can see, there are 2 different bowls). I ordered a Miso basic, & I think my friend ordered something from the Golden section of the menu. The selection was alright but lacking in every meal item... which made me hesitate on what to get, & so I decided to stick to something that people suggested. The service was sad even though the restaurant was not busy... I felt like the waiter was rushing to get it over with. I don't want to question his mood nor attitude since it was my first time there, & it could be one of those bad days, but it really might just be a 1 time problem!!! The place is in a secluded spot, but the inside gives you a "private place" sort of feeling. It's a nice spot to have a calm & peaceful meal. Anyways, it's good for a budget friendly meal, but I don't want to come back here regardless...View more

Excellents ramen situé juste à côté du musée des beaux arts. Il y a trois options végétariennes au menu avec tofu frit très savoureux. Le prix est tout à fait abordable, ce qui devient de plus en plus difficile à trouver. Foncez y!View more

Pretty cozy intimate spot, the ramen & broth are delicious, great for a gathering of 6 people max I'd say or an intimate date. I've been going since 2016 & it's still my favorite ramen spot in mtl if you have a chance you should try it especially if you go to concordia or dawson which is pretty close by.View more

I really was not impressed with the broth. It felt like they gave me the bottom of the batch, which was way too salty & too concentrated for my taste. Disappointed that they didn't have any gyoza which I understand happens but I showed up pretty early at lunch time.View more

Best ramen in MTL! Generous portions at a fair price. I suggest trying the Gold Kome Chasu. (I took the spicy version) It doesn't come with eggs, but you can add any extras you desire. 5 stars ⭐️😉View more

Ordered the recommended dish Cha-Su with Gold Broth. Gold broth is supposed to be rich in flavour, but I personally found it was very overpowering with ginger flavour. Ordered the miso egg which was great, but the kimchi was also overpowering with ginger flavour. Noodles were ok. Not sure why there were potatoes (maybe a MTL thing) & sadly not a green onion in sight. Cha su was very delicious though. Not a fan of bean sprouts in my ramen. Great service & nice atmosphere.View more
