Papa Jackie is widely regarded as a standout destination for authentic Cantonese cuisine in the Montreal area, praised consistently for its flavorful dishes, generous portions, and good value. Many visitors highlight the quality of staples like roasted duck, dumplings, and seafood, while also appreciating the bright, modern atmosphere and friendly staff. Although the restaurant is highly popular and can become very busy, leading to occasional waits for tables or inconsistent service during peak hours, most patrons find the overall dining experience reliable and satisfying. Sadly this used to be one of the best places to eat. This time shrimps were greasy like if oil was not hot enough. Chicken was hard...lets hope it was just a fluke

We are a party of three. We ordered steamed oysters (1 each), fried soft shell crabs, the famous chicken, beef & veggie, & stir fried rice noodles. & a fish soup.
The food is delicious. The serving is huge that we packed three boxes to go. Service is adequate. But it's expensive. The bill is around 180. That's the reason I didn't give the five star.

First time eating here in June 2025

the restaurant is nicely decorated & the staff were very nice. The bathroom was clean & they had a cool aquarium that you could choose your fresh talapia, lobster & crab from.

Their menu is very varied, from single plates to full meals for big families. & is in a few languages.

We tried Menu C for 2 people that was decently priced. It came with Wonton soup imperial rolls, general taos chicken, beef with vegetables, sezchuan shrimp & rice.

The wonton soup broth was very good but the wontons had no flavor & were very doughy.

The imperial rolls were better but they give you plum sauce in individual plastic packets like for take out.

The chicken was plentiful but just ok in flavor.
The shrimp is a bit spicy & the beef was tender. The vegetables with the beef were well cooked & had a tasty sauce.

All in all a big meal for a decent price. We found it to be'ok' & the people really nice. If you want a large meal for a decent price then it is worth trying.

Also many reviewers mentioned the wait time for a table, we were there on a Saturday around 4pm & we were sat immediately, by the time we were done it was filling up fast...

Good & cozy for small familly of 4 with 2 toddlers. Booster chair available. They even brought baby plates & bowls safe proof for the kids. Food was very tasy. We ordered corn chicken soup, papa jackie fried rice & porc chop salt & pepper. My kids love it.
