I've never stayed at the Intercontinental before, but it's been a wonderful experience. The in-hotel restaurant was incredible. The first night we were there (Thursday) I ordered a smash burger, price was great, & our servers Marc & Clara were absolutely lovely. I hope to see them again before we leave. The next morning I got to experience the breakfast buffet (so good!!!) & our server Marc (but not the same one lol) was so nice. Over all incredible experience. It's making for a very relaxing comic con weekend.
Food was good. Coffee was okay. The place is so cozy, homey & nice.
The waitress wasn't so friendly though & she brought runny Benedict to our pregnant friend even though she asked for hard boiled eggs.
Note: We made a reservation for 8 people for 10:00am. When 4 of us arrived the waitress told them that the kitchen will not take any orders after 10:30am…
It was so weird giving us a table at 10:00am when they know they will close half an hour after!!!

Ivan & Clara were amazing - very attentive & fun to talk to. We loved the food - Caesar salad, scallop crudo to start & then we had Cornish game hen & the filet. Everything was delicious so we stuffed ourselves with dessert
Pedí una hamburguesa angus y estaba deliciosa. El pan calientito que sirvieron de entrada también estaba rico. El servicio de Iván, Clara y David fue impecable muy atentos y amables
I had the salmon which was delicious with little slices of kumquat. The rice'packet' was a new experience - interesting!
Dessert was absolutely sublime 😋Clara was a wonderful waitress.

I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible service I received from Iván, the waiter who attended to me. I arrived at the restaurant yesterday feeling very down, going through a tough day… but his smile, his positive energy, & his genuine charisma completely turned my mood around.
From the very first moment, he approached me with contagious joy & admirable professionalism. Iván & Julio knows the menu perfectly, explained each dish to me in detail & with great patience, & helped me make an excellent choice with his kindness & knowledge.
It wasn't just great service - it was a human experience that made me feel seen, heard, & truly valued. I left the restaurant with a big smile thanks to him. I wish there were more people like Iván in the service industry: people who not only do their job well, but do it with heart. Thank you so much!
