Fondue Haidilao Montreal is genuinely great and yes, easily one of the very best hot pot places in Montreal. The place is new, clean, service is superb, the sourcing of the ingredients is great and the broths are well prepared. Had such a pleasant experience. This place just opened and everything flowed effortlessly. The staff and service were great, and the food was amazing. Food was okay, bland, and lacking in authentic flavor. The server that we got didn't speak any French or English and had a lot of confusion with what we were asking and what he was understanding. Bathrooms are dirty and no one bothered to clean it for the 1 hour we were there. To top it off, the waiters will shamelessly complain about their tips. They expect to get 15% tips after: 1) They don't even understand English or French and needs to keep asking someone else to translate. 2) We needed to ask 3 times for hot sauce 3) Toilets are disgusting 4) We wanted to order more drinks but the server didn't even come back to ask us despite giving us the menus again 5) Serving our appetizers with main course together. Note to the team: 15% Tip is not a law. It is a recommendation. You earn this when you give good service, not for just writing what I say on a paper and giving me a plate to eat from.Voir plus

We started our night upstairs at Heni. Offered the tasting menu and we were blown away, not only by the food but the service. Every employee was incredible in explaining the dishes, in taking attention to us and as a picky eater, I had every thing and loved it. The desserts (the crepe especially) were incredible We then went down to the little speakeasy and had an incredible service there too. The whole experience was honestly a 10/10. Easily accessible place on the Mont Royal Avenue, steps away from the metro station. The food was disappointing and below average, I didn't like the chicken burger at all as the chicken felt undercooked. This place is kind of a resto café but I think it's better to go there for just a coffee. When the place is crowded the noise is unbearable.Voir plus

Honnêtement, c'était la première fois que je venais dans un restaurant de ce genre, et j'ai complètement adorer. L'agneau était tout simplement excellent et très bien cuit dans son mijoté. Le riz est excellent et l'ambiance du restaurant est vraiment calme et paisible. The Purple Haze is a delicious cocktail. My rib eye was wonderfully cooked, and it was excellently paired with the grilled mushrooms. My fiancee's filet mignon had an excellent crust, and was delightfully buttery. The staff were friendly attentive, and accommodating. Definitely a restaurant we will revisit. The restaurant could be slightly brighter, and the table was a little wobbly - or the top was warped.
