Notre-Boeuf-de-Grâce specializes in premium, hand-pressed beef patties paired with artisanal brioche buns and creative topping combinations. The menu features an extensive selection of gourmet burgers ranging from classic cheddar preparations to elaborate stacks with onion rings and maple-glazed bacon. Complementing the burger focus, the kitchen serves dense, savory poutine varieties topped with rich, slow-cooked gravy and fresh cheese curds. Patrons encounter an industrial-chic interior design defined by exposed metal fixtures and a vibrant, energetic atmosphere suitable for casual gatherings. Each dish emphasizes high-quality sourcing, ensuring consistent textures and robust flavor profiles across every plate served. The establishment maintains a sharp focus on comfort-centric culinary traditions, stripping away unnecessary complexity to highlight the bold characteristics of the core ingredients presented in every signature burger creation.
Notre-Boeuf-de-Grâce is frequently praised for its delicious, high-quality burgers and extensive menu, with many patrons highlighting the fresh ingredients and enjoyable atmosphere. While the food consistently receives positive feedback, customer experiences regarding service are polarized; some visitors describe the staff as friendly, attentive, and professional, whereas others report instances of slow, inattentive, or occasionally rude interactions. Issues such as loud music, inconsistencies with delivery orders, and unexpected service charges for groups have also been noted. Overall, the restaurant remains a popular destination for families and burger enthusiasts, though management may need to address service quality and consistency to ensure a uniformly positive experience for all guests.
I am writing this review after giving this establishment two separate chances, but unfortunately, both experiences were highly disappointing.
During our last two visits, the service was extremely slow, with unacceptable wait times just to place an order & receive our food. More concerningly, there was a persistent issue with the personal hygiene of the waitress who served us. On both occasions, she had a very strong, noticeable body odor that severely impacted our dining experience & appetite.
While I understand the hospitality industry faces challenges, basic cleanliness standards & attentive service should be non-negotiable in any restaurant. I hope management addresses these issues immediately, as the current state of service is unacceptable.
My favourite burger spot in the west-island. I went with my husband & two boys. We got some delicious appetizers, & loved the juicy burgers done exactly the way we like it. My kids love the hot dogs & they never disappoint. The fries are golden, so tasty & addictive. When we feel like barbecuing on a nice day, we love ordering their burger/hot dog package sent with all the toppings you would want. Don't forget the regular fries & sweet potato fries if you feel like being healthier. The staff at the restaurant are always so friendly & helpful. Highly recommend with the family or even as a date night.
I have eaten at two of the other NBDG restaurants, one in NDG & the other on Mont Royal, the experience in Pointe Claire was not even close. The burgers were tasteless & the service was slow & rather dry. After the plates were dumped in front of us, with our lackluster hamburgers & fries, no salad no coleslaw, they never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, after an initial double expresso was served & never filled up our water, & never even asked how we were doing. The waitress who served us was full of self importance & seemed more concerned with showing that she was above such a place & had an attitude to show for it...I have run clubs, bars & restaurants, & I would never give this woman the time of day... Apart from being condesceding , She was quite rude in general when taking our order, & at the end of the meal, she made us wait for quite some time in front of our empty water glasses, & half eaten fries, at which point she showed up & asked us if everything had been as good as she expected it should be, I told her that it was ok at best, & that the only really good thing had been the expresso served at the beginning of the meal...to which she responded' I know my coffee, I take it black ...like my soul' which she imagined was a brilliant witty & captivating comment from the look she gave immediately after uttering such a ridiculous statement to a client in a burger resto...so at least there was a comedic relief at the end of a very underwhelming experience. we will not return. & neither should you. Hamburger joints are many, really good ones much fewer, but they are there. try something else. & to you our waitress in your innapropriate blue spandex shorts, you are not a shooter girl at Bord'Elle...nor could you ever be... do yourself a favor, You really should not be in the service industry...of any kind
We reserve our table at Notre-Boeuf-de-Grace often. The manager & the wait staff are amazing. They always greet us & are very attentive. The food has always been warm & fresh & we enjoy the atmosphere. Carly Dresner is the best manager & we will always support this restaurant in the West Island.
