Mango Bay Restaurant is a delightful Caribbean refuge nestled in the heart of downtown Montreal. The owners are experienced chefs, entertainers and of Caribbean origin which explains the authenticity of the décor and the flavourful, traditional cuisine. Warm tropical colours, exotic plants, and local artwork depicting traditional Caribbean themes, all sets the tone for your unique culinary vacation. At the center of the restaurant you will be drawn to the fireplace that has been transformed into the ideal tropical landscape complete with a waterfall and lush tropical forest. The professional wait staff will make you at ease upon arrival by welcoming you into their restaurant oasis. The menu offers a variety of delicious Caribbean dishes that will impress even the most discerning connoisseur. Entrées such as fishcakes, patties, spicy wings will wet your appetite for the main course featuring Mango Chicken, the house specialty Jerk Chicken, a variety of fresh fish dishes, and much more all complemented by rice and vegetables. The restaurant also offers mixed drinks featuring house specialties that will transport you to an Oceanside experience. They also offer Red Stripe a Jamaican lager-style beer. Since its opening in 2001, Mango Bay has earned the reputation as being one of the best Caribbean restaurants in downtown Montreal. Part of its success has been the staff and owners` ability to respond to the important feedback that comes from their growing list of satisfied guests. In order to keep the experience real and authentic, a series of regular live performances are scheduled throughout the year to enhance the overall experience and add to the already exciting setting. Appearances by an array of local performers offer a glimpse into a very provocative community. Best Roti in Montréal !!! Delicious curry, but please improve on customer service. We often feel like we're bothering the workers which is a huge turn-off to remain a loyal customer. The rice could be little better but overall good jamaican restaurant.

Simply the best jerk chicken salad in town, one standout feature is the perfect balance of spicy jerk flavors with fresh, crisp salad ingredients. The tender, flavorful jerk chicken adds a bold kick to the salad, creating a delicious fusion of Caribbean & salad flavors. I drive 45 min each time to go pick it up .. worth every minute ..

So happy I found this place. Its hard to get into. You have to walk in the door go up a stair case then go into one of the rooms on the upper floor. For being the only carribean restaurant downtown it's damn good. The oxtail & jerk chicken were great. Roti skin was like I was back in the islands. My only wish is that it wasn't takeout only. I wish they would open up the dining area again. Somet times I walk in & wonder if it's closed since no one's in the front.. Also have fun with the staff it's one of the few places we're the guy hits the 18% tip before giving you the machine 😂

We went yesterday evening with a couple of friends for a birthday. The experience was not very good : drinking water had a bad taste (seems like very old water left in the fridge for many days), the service was very very long, even though food was good but not excellent. Unfortunately we won't come back there.

Nous avons mangé à ce restaurant en famille. Le service est très bien, la serveuse était sympathique & souriante. L'ambiance est bonne, avec musique. Les plats commandés étaient excellents. Mention spéciale pour le poulet négril qui est délicieux. Par contre, nous avons été déçus par les entrées (feuilletés & pâtés) qui étaient assez ordinaires.
